Astonishing Braids — Local services in Redford Township

If I could give her 0 stars I would. This woman did my hair a few times a few years ago. I reached out to her a few days ago to inquire (as her page says to do, as she didn’t have her booking site working. I texted her and she never responded. The next day at 2:30 in the damn morning, she responds and just says she is available for the weekend. She never provided times, dates, pricing…etc. I reached out again and she completely ignored me. Yesterday I was able to schedule an appt on her booking site and then texted to confirm. She responded immediately saying that I could come today at 9:30. I confirmed that I could come today at that time and then sent a follow up text to confirm the hair color needed and pricing. That’s when all texting ceased. I sent her 3 other follow up text and then assumed that hat maybe she fell asleep. I woke up today, texted and called her 3 times. She never showed up to the appt and never even reached out. In the past when she did my hair, Although those times, she was often late and asked me to pay before service so that she could purchase hair (that was supposed to be included), her work was still good. She had an African lady working with her who did most of the work and she typically only gave her a few dollars of what I paid her. I am disgusted with the unprofessional behavior and it sucks because she makes black businesses look horrible. To the lady below, please reach out to me if she has not refunded your money as I work for the Michigan BBB. It has been over a month, so she will be refunding you your money plus a penalty.
