Donutown — Restaurant in Redford Township

I've had great experiences at Donut Town. I don't know ow the name of the young lady that works there but she's very nice and friendly. She explains everything that's on the menu.

I normally buy tea there and a sandwich. I like two tea bags in my large cup. I asked the young woman if I can get two tea bags in a cup. I would pay for the extra tea bag if I have to. Because one tea bag in a large cup, the water dilutes the flavor. Thats why I need two of them to get the full effect. The young woman understood exactly what I wanted no problem.

Later this month I go back to Donut Town, and I'm welcomed by an older woman and she's just as nice. Very sweet. But unfortunately, when I asked for two tea bags in a large cup and some hot water. She couldn't comprehend what I was asking for. So instead of having two tea bags i unfortunately was given only one. So I ended up drinking...

Oh boy! Donutown has paczki! Prune is the traditional paczki, EVERY flavor you might want (except prune) including chocolate buttercream. Yummy! My favorite, strawberry frosted, delicious! The pumpkin cake donut was just the right balance of sweet and pumpkin. The maple frosted also yummy. My favourite is powdered lemon. We usually come here every time we go on a road trip- get a box for the whole family. It's been a little tradition for years to do just that. Every time I go there on my own (not for a trip, for example) I always find this place super calm. Perhaps it's simply the memories and what my family has made a place like this mean to me, but this business has always felt so.. I'm unsure of the word. Comforting? Quaint?

Regardless, I absolutely love coming here. Not only does the place have meaning, but their food is AMAZING. I've always loved the powdered lemon donuts, but that's easily followed by custard, honeyglazed, and plenty more.

Would definitely recommend dropping in for a bite to eat...
