My family adopted Jessie a sweet Husky from here a week ago. The Owner and volunteers here are Lovely! They even helped make sure our potential dog wasn’t aggressive towards cats as she was a transfer from another shelter with no information. It was hard getting a call back when i was inquiring as we looked around for our potential new family member. I’m close so i drove in. The owners have had a devastating loss to their family and they still are open and helping the dogs and cats. Thank you for caring for the forgotten Critters. This place needs community supports as i learned they go on donated foods and treats. My new dog came with already being spayed and up to date on All vaccines. And coupons for Redwood Groomers ( she’s a Beautiful Husky) and vet company they go through for their surgeries. I Would recommend them First over all the Animal Shelters that adopt out. And we went to a few looking for the right doggo for us. Answering the phone wasn’t a biggie to me. Kennels are clean and the cat area is too cute!! Thank you for our Dog Jessie! We already Love her So So Much!! The...
Read moreKept very clean. There are so many cats and dogs to adopt. It breaks my heart. They need loving homes. I have adopted a cat from there and she (cat) is so easy to spoil. And she is so loving. Wants my lap as often as possible and loves to play play play play. So necessary for them to have play toys and especially play WITH them to tire them out best cat toy is the toy with something at the end of a stick and the eyes light up. Also cat nip, I put all her toys in a grocery bag shake them up with cat nip and dump them out on the floor and she keeps pretty busy. These animals are not a statue they need attention like human beings. Love & play with them and 10x's more will come back to YOU. They love to find mischief and things you have sitting around, in their eyes it doesn't belong there! Child proof your home.....LOL!!! Everyone is friendly there and hopeful a pet will find a good...
Read moreAbout two weeks ago my boyfriend and I made the decision that we wanted to adopt a cat or kitten to add to our home. We had just got back from going to my Uncle's funeral and my dad had passed in October of last year. To say there was a hole I needed to fill was an understatement. When we got to the Redwood Humane Society everything was clean, the cats had plenty of space to roam, and you could tell that the staff loved all of the animals in their care. We ourselves wanted to take home each and every cat we came across. We finally settled on a little kitten to bring home with us. The adoption process was easy and smooth. I highly recommend them if you're looking to add a member to your family. Thank you Redwood Humane Society for taking care of our baby before we knew she was missing...
