I took my computer here because of the good reviews but I wish that I would have just relied on my friends in IT even though they live out of state. My computer stopped charging so I took it in to have a new charging port/power jack put in. I would like to note that other than not charging, my computer worked completely fine before taking it in! They charged me $100 for the part (which appears to cost $14.99 or less on different sites) and $24.99 for the install. By the time that I got home (about a half an hour), they called me to tell me that the part was in and my computer was working. When I went to pick it up the next day, I made small talk with them and left.
Over the coming weeks, I noticed that my laptop was no longer connecting to the internet or would connect for a moment and then disconnect so I called them. I knew that it wasn't an issue with my router, because every other device in our home would connect. After giving my name, she said "oh yeah, your computer was riddled with spyware". When I asked why they didn't tell me, she said that they told me when I picked it up that I may want to have it "cleaned up". They absolutely did NOT tell me that. That whole issue aside, I said that since bringing my laptop home, it would not connect or sporadically connect and disconnect to the internet and she told me that was probably because of the spyware and it being "too much" for my computer when I disconnected it from my network and brought it to them. I said that made absolutely no sense because we travel a lot and my computer has never had an issue reconnecting to the internet when I got back home. At no point during the conversation did they offer to have me bring my computer in to have a look at it.
An IT friend gave me a program to scan my computer and NO spyware or malicious software was detected on my computer. The friend also sent me a link for the maintenance and service manual for my laptop. Turns out that one of the connectors/terminals wasn't attached to the WLAN module. Whether or not this was intentional, I cannot say. My computer works completely fine now.
All in all, I give them one star simply because they put the power jack in a timely manner. My main issues are the overcharging for the part and their response when I contacted them...
Read moreI could not have been luckier to have found Delaware PC Services. I had to purchase a new computer prior to my visit to Ocean City. Since it was the same, in my eyes, as my replaced computer, both are a Dell Inspiron 17 inch laptop, I didn't bother to replace the power source I kept in my travel computer bag. Naturally when I attempted to connect the old power source to the new laptop it didn't fit. Words were uttered, bad words, Dell should be embarrassed. Of course it was Saturday night, after everything had closed, and nothing was opening Sunday. I consulted the almighty Amazon, and the naughty Dell. They could each send me the needed part, but it wouldn't arrive until Thursday or Friday. I'm going home Saturday, so if I had to go that long, I might as well wait until I returned home. A quick search for Dell computer parts and sales produced a glimmer of hope with a couple of office supply stores and Delaware PC Services listed. I waited until Monday morning, and fingers crossed called them. Miracles happen! They had exactly 1 power source that fit the description. I packed up my laptop and headed out. Their store is exactly what you want a computer store to be. Plenty of parts and accessories in cases and on the walls, and a couple of people who know more than I about repairing and tricking out your ride, as long as your ride is on the internet. I paid a competitive and reasonable price for the new power source, and.the lady who helped me was perfectly professional throughout the visit. While I hope I never need them again, I am glad to know Delaware PC Services is there and...

Apple told me I needed to pay $500 for them to send my computer away to be fixed. I simply could not afford that. I thought I needed a new computer. I am so unbelievably HAPPY I CAME TO DELAWARE PC SERVICES and spent only $35 to fix my MacBook! Screw you Apple !!! These big companies try to scam you. Local businesses do NOT. It was simply a new wifi chip I needed to fix all my issues. I consider myself so lucky I decided to stop by to this store and get a second opinion.
