Turmeric Spices — Local services in Reno

I placed a DoorDash order for pickup, and the app confirmed it was ready. But when I arrived, the restaurant told me their system wasn’t processing orders and they couldn’t fulfill mine. Incredibly frustrating—I wasted time going there, and now I’m stuck trying to get a refund from DoorDash, who’s saying the order was delivered (even though I never received anything).

To make matters worse, the restaurant’s customer service was completely unhelpful. Rather than taking responsibility or offering an apology, they blamed me, despite the fact their DoorDash page was still live and accepting orders at the time. They only temporarily closed it after this happened.

On top of that, I noticed their prices are inflated, even for basic items, compared to similar places.

Overall, a very poor experience. A little honesty and accountability would’ve gone a long way. If you’re considering ordering from here, I’d recommend...

Make sure to check expiration/best buy dates. Many items are either expired or fast approaching the best by dates on packages way before you will finish using it. Seems they get old stuff at discounted rate. The other two competitor stores in Reno are far superior.

Edited 9/10/24: There is a new Indian grocery in Sparks - Discount supermarket on Prater Way in the prior location of 99 cents. Everybody looking to buy Indian groceries, please do check this one out- trust me, their prices are unbelievably low (which goes to show how much mark-up the other competitors in town have) and they have a huge store. I was totally blown over by their prices n fresh stock- finally, a much-needed and welcomed spot for Indian groceries ...

One of my favorite cuisines is Indian food. Therefore, if you make Indian food at home and are looking for an ingredient or spice that most grocery stores won't carry you need to come here.

Not only does this store have a large variety of items they also have a bakery. I found the employees to be kind, informative, and professional. They were extremely helpful. We discussed homemade curry spice in great length. In fact, I purchased several ingredients to create my own homemade curry spice combination.
