LATEST UPDATE: I just had the best Singapore Noodles I ever had in this area of Northern NV. Singapore Noodles are the thin rice noodles (Vermicelli) wok fried with yellow curry flavor with chicken and shrimp included. Hong Kong Diner put more stuff in this dish than other places around here and it's so beautiful when it comes to the table. Order the Singapore Noodles!

UPDATE: OK, last time I told you what NOT to order, but this time I'll tell you some good dishes to get! One thing is the crispy fried salt pepper tofu and the other is the salt pepper pork chops with the bone. This cook cooks the pork chop so perfect, crispy on he outside and still moist and tender inside! The tofu is the only way I eat tofu ... deep fried! The egg drop soup is great too, not like the cheap versions that come with most lunch specials, this is made to order, not outta a big vat like most places. There ARE some good things to get here.

I gotta warn people, I just had one of the most god awful dishes I ever had at a Chinese restaurant. Do not EVER get the Sesame Beef here at Hong King Diner. The beef is tough, but worse is this thick battered coating that is on every piece. Properly done, this coating is supposed to be a light coating adding just a little texture to the beef, but here is like a freakin CORN DOG! Little meat inside surrounded by thick batter ... NOT GOOD! I took pics to show.

The other dish that is not so good is the Mongolian Beef, way too soy saucy and too many onions. Don't get the Mongolian Beef! The egg rolls are too greasy and fat, skip the egg rolls! see the pics.

They still have some good stuff here, like the General Chicken that doesn't have a thick corn dog like batter on it. It's thin and uses real cut up chicken, not those frozen nuggets in a bag mast places use. You just gotta know what to order here and the Mongolian Beef and Sesame Beef are NOT the...

If I could give this place zero stars based off my experience this evening I would. I called and placed a phone order at 7:45pm for a combination plate with sweet and sour pork with chow mien and fried rice then another with Kung Pao chicken and friend rice. The lady who took my order said it will be 15 to 20 minutes. I get there around 8:05pm and the lady at the front says it's almost ready. Now it's going on 8:20pm and I asked how much longer? She goes to the back and a guy from the kitchen comes up front. He says we don't have anymore rice. I said ok, well I called why didn't she tell me this. His response was we didn't tell her. Ok....so I said I'll take the sweet and sour pork with all chow mien and I let him know I will be putting a bad review online for my experience. His response was I don't care how you feel or what you do. Really? This is your response to your customer that you just made wait for something you don't have? Then he says someone went to get rice if you want to wait it will be here soon. No thank you. I'm talking to this guy and explaining to him had bad this is and he was like I said sorry. Yeah but you say sorry then say you don't care. I told him you have no idea who I am and all your customers should be treated as equal not come to your establishment and hear you say you don't care. We always go here to eat and order to go pork porridge mostimes. Mind you its a 30-40min drive from our house. Our usual is like 3-4 orders to go of pork porridge! We got home, we immediately notice the color was off, then we start to eat-it was bitter and burnt. As mentioned we always order this meaning its not our first! The guy I spoke to Mane or however you spelled it says he would gladly make it but it was already late for us to drive back to pick up, as you know gas is outrageous! I called the next day since we are driving back to town but says they do not have enough to make it as it is long weekend (Memorial weekend). Today I am writing this because not only my mom went out her way to pick up but the person that was talking to my mom was rude, telling her that it would be the same taste and such a waste of food! Like Bro you don't talk to customers like that! And even I was courteous enough to talk to you but overhearing you talk to my mom just crossed the line!
