Earlier today I posted a review in which I rated my experience with 2 stars. I am unable to edit that review with a follow-up, so this is my revision. After posting my experience the owner, Manny, immediately reached out to me. He expedited the repair on my boots so I would not have to wait until Monday (and would have them for my weekend hunt.). That he read the review and acted immediately to meet my expectations and attempt to reconcile my negative experience was impressive. When I returned to the store to pick up my boots he spent time with me to explain how they fixed the failed first attempt at repair, as well as what contributed to my negative interaction with his employee. Again, I was impressed by his attentiveness to customer feedback - and so quickly. I would not hesitate to return to do business here again or to recommend this business. Recently I revisited El Vaquero Custom Boots & Shoe Repairs to have a pair of exotic shoes repaired. These were casual shoes that once had a rubber sole and heel. These shoes were made by Belvedere - a company known for crafting quality exotic footwear. The heel literally cracked, and I never experienced this before. At my request the soles and heels were to be replaced. I honestly felt the shoes were unrepairable and a total lost 😩. When I returned to pick up my shoes I was utterly amazed at the quality workmanship. He was able to remove the leather and replace the sole and heel with a more durable and quality material. Update: Manny contacted me, picked up the shoes, repaired and returned them in 24hrs. He did an excellent job! In addition, he accepted responsibility and fixed the problem. This is integrity and good customer service. I am changing my rating from 1 star to 5 stars.

This is the worst shoes repair job. I took 8 pairs of shoes for new rubber heel tips. It took 2 weeks to complete the repairs and the heel tips were plastic - see picture for result after 1 wear. When I contacted them, I was told the tips were defective. Took 6 pairs back for redo and it took 3 weeks to get my shoes back. The job looks worse than before. Some tips are too small, others are slanted, and heel damaged on one pair. I paid $95 to them & still have to take my shoes elsewhere...
