Absolutely disgusted with this corporation and the hell they have put us through for over 9 months. Last Christmas, Reynolds opened their grocery store on the Sunday before Christmas despite the fact that their entire parking lot was black ice. We didn't realize they hadn't sanded or salted the parking lot at all and because it was black ice we couldn't see it. My husband went to get out of his truck and immediately fell and destroyed his shoulder. This is all on video. He's a mechanic and he had to have major surgery and was out of work for months because of the pain and not being able to use his shoulder. His job was our only source of income and we had to have a family member pay our rent, bills, and buy our groceries. It was such a nightmare that we should have never had to go through if Reynolds had done the right thing. My husband also missed out on a better job opportunity and housing in another area of North Dakota because of this injury. I was scheduled for major surgery at this time as well and the stress and panic attacks from seeing my husband get so hurt really impeded my recovery. At first Reynolds seemed to want to help us and they had their insurance guy, Ryan, reach out to us. We soon realized that this insurance guy was stringing us along and between his lack of communication and always needing more information after weeks and weeks of zero communication at a time. We saw right through his tactic and knew they either wanted us to give up or accept a lowball offer. NINE MONTHS of trying to call their insurance guy and begging the store to help us settle this matter until we finally get offered a measly $10,000. We literally had to have a family member pay for us to relocate to another area of the country or we would have been destitute and homeless because of this. $10,000 doesn't even cover our moving costs. All because it was more important for Reynolds to get as much profit the Sunday before Christmas than to ensure their customers weren't injured. They could have waited to open the store until after they had made the parking lot safe but they didn't. This was all caught on their cameras and we saw multiple other customers and employees holding onto grocery carts and even an employee clinging to a light post to avoid getting hurt. This is completely unacceptable and the fact that zero people from Reynolds corporate have reached out to us is unforgivable. Ice and snow are one thing but an entire parking lot covered in undetectable black ice is extremely dangerous. It was incredible irresponsible for them to open their store that Sunday morning with the parking lot in that condition. Our lives have been forever scarred and altered because of this and all we asked was to be made whole. But I guess asking people to do the right thing and take responsibility is not as important as...
