I am only giving one star because I have to. I had a few different things happen that ultimately left me with a bad experience. Originally, I understood because mistakes happen but the experience kept getting worse for me:
I had gone dress shopping and found a dress I liked but wanted to customize. The original dress fabric came in a champagne color. When I tried it on, one of the first things I said was, "I would like this better if it was all white/ivory". Anyway, I ended up ordering the dress and asked for the fabric to be white/ivory and was vocal about wanting only white multiple times. I also asked for the neckline to be plunged right below the chest. As I was checking out, I read over my contract and everything looked correct, color and all.
When I went to pick up my dress, both things I asked to be customized were wrong. The fabric was still champagne and the plunge when right above my belly button ( a huge difference). Their reasoning for the color mishap was: The color I asked for was the one on the contract but "champagne" was the "second" color on their contract. I wasn't totally sure how we had different contracts but I never received clarification on that or the plunge mishap.
At this point I was not upset, because again mistakes happen.
When I back into the store, one of the first things the owner said was, "we have a 99% success rate." and continued to say it throughout the night and even on the original phone call. It was frustrating because I was so patient and graceful with the mistake because everyone is human, but it seemed like the owner was intending to push the mistake on me and the store could do no wrong.
The store offered to order a new dress and do free alterations. Truthfully, at this point I wanted a new dress but I wanted to be easy and just get the dress and be done with it but this is where is gets worse for me.
When my new dress came in, the fabric color was correct but the plunge was still incorrect. The plunge was supposed to have sheer holding it together, but it came with fabric instead of sheer. I instantly shelled up because for the second time, my dress came out not as anticipated. The owner asked if I was ok because I was visibly upset. My response was something along the lines of needing time to process a 2nd messed up dress and wanting a moment alone. She rolled her eyes and walked out. She sent in the seamstress. This upset me because I feel like I responded the best I could do in that situation (was not rude, just wanted time to process) and I don't understand how I could have angered her, given I am the one with a messed up dress for my wedding day and why she never reached out again.
When I met with the seamstress she assured me the plunge would be fixed with sheer.
I was not able to pick up my dress until 7 days before the wedding. When I went in for my final appointment, the dress was still incorrect. All I needed for alterations was my dress to be hemmed at the bottom, the plunged fixed and for the sides to be brought in.
None of those 3 things were fixed. The plunge did have sheer on it, but there was fabric on top of some of the sheer so it wasn't clean cut it was very ragged and edgy.
The sides of my dress were still too big. The seamstress had to add silicone to the bra part to hold my boobs in, which she said would take 10 minutes and it took 40. My fiance drove me as i was nervous for this appointment and he was in the car waiting. My dress ended up being a bit too long on the wedding day and I ended up constantly stepping on it.
On this day, there were two of us for alterations. Both of us were waiting for our seamstresses and the owner talked to the other bride and got hers. I noticed the owner look in my room and continue walking.
The owner has not contacted me from the time she walked out of the room after me asking for time alone. While I understand she wasn't the seamstress, I feel as if she could have called when the dress was finished to check on the finish dress.
At the end of the day, I don't feel like the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDO NOT USE THEIR SEAMSTRESS SERVICES! I went in August of 2023 to search for my dress. The service was pretty good (nothing special), they were helpful with what I was visioning, and we were able to find my dress that dame day.
Fast forward to June of 2024, I had my first alterations appointment scheduled. We went in, tried on the dress, and discussed what I wanted to change/add and the length that needed to be taken off. 3 weeks later I go in for my second appointment. The length was taken off, belt was sewn in a few places to make sure we liked how it looked. Said that for my next appointment belt would be done and sheer fabric would be covered. Another 3 weeks goes by, I try on my dress... the belt was not touched, the side stitching looked unfinished, like it was sewn by someone with their eyes closed. At this point my mom and I were becoming frustrated but we were assured it would be completed by my last appointment, my pick-up appointment on August 19th (my wedding is on August 24th). We go in today, August 19th, for my final fitting. And at this point, you'd expect the dress to pretty much be perfect, and you can basically walk out. NOPE! The side stitching was STILL messed up, unfinished, stain on my dress... we had to ask the seamstress several times to fix the stitching until it was somewhat good. When we mentioned the stain we basically were told "that's not from us, there's no way that was our fault, we didn't do that" when the entire time my dress was at their store. By no means am I saying it was their fault (could've been mine from makeup or whatever) but we had asked if they had any cleaning services and were told "no we don't and we didn't do that". A very very terrible customer service response from their seamstress. While all of this is going on the seamstress was rushing us out the door to leave. Basically not answering any of our questions and continuing to make excuses as to why there could've been a stain and why the seams looked the way they did. We were then told to sign a piece of paper saying we're satisfied with the dress and everything they did to it, and by no means were we satisfied. So we obviously didn't want to sign the paper but had to in order to take my dress home for my wedding in 4 DAYS:( We made notes on the paper saying we were not satisfied with the dress, the stain that was there and how the seams still looked unfinished (after 3-4 times of her "fixing them". The seamstress said she would talk to our manager and give us a $140 refund. Which at this point it's not about the refund it's about the customer service my mom and I received 4 days before my wedding just trying to make sure my dress was perfect since the alterations cost about the same price as my dress!! Overall - this place was fine. The process for receiving my dress was good but DO NOT get your alterations done there.
Our seamstress' name was Kitty (?) and I would not recommend...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place was very clean and everyone seemed super sweet. They got me in last minute since I am active duty military and I wanted my family to see me try on dresses in case we couldnāt find the time in the future. However, the lady who helped me, I believe her name was Anne was very rude and even my family thought so to. I showed up to my appointment right as the doors opened, she made me wait 20 minutes to fill out a form that was barley a page long into my hour and a half appointment. I didnāt even start trying on dresses until 30 minutes after the appointment started. She gave me a couple of dresses that were decent but werenāt at all what I was really looking for. I told her I wanted a classy look with a sweetheart neckline and ruffles at the bottom. She said she didnāt have one like that. My mom actually found a dress exactly what I was looking for 10 minutes before the appointment was over. The lady seemed like she didnāt want to help me try it on, she was trying to rush me, didnāt seem happy at all. She told my mom āitās a size 12 it wonāt fit and that dress is discontinued so thatās why I didnāt pull itā I tried it on and it was a PERFECT FIT! Instead of her happy for me she responded āokay well letās hurry and try on a veilā All her co workers were very happy for me but it seemed like she was just trying to rush me. I ended up getting the dress, once I checked out I felt so rushed I pulled out the wrong card and paid for it. When I asked if I could refund it and try it on a different card she rolled her eyes and said ālet me go get a managerā then disappeared for 10 minutes. On top of that this dress is discontinued, thousands of people have probably tried on this dress (they couldnāt order it) so Iāll have to get it dry cleaned etc.. which is fine but the lady said āI can only give you $300 off and nothing more.ā My mom was so over it she told me she would just help me out with the payment so we can get out of there. So instead of walking out feeling happy and getting a picture to the āI said yes to the dressā sign the lady came back and said āok have a good dayā. I just felt like that happy moment really upset me and I will never get to have that experience again. There was a lady however who was wearing a skirt with long brown hair that day was so kind and sweet to me! I went on Saturday April 8th. I am not saying this is a bad place, I just probably wouldnāt go to the lady who helped me. Thanks to my mom she tried to brighten my day but trying to get me excited about buying the dress when I felt awful. So my mom took a picture of me when we left and Iām...
