Had the transmission rebuilt in a GMC Yukon , after a year plus it's working great, my only concern is I Told the owner the vehicle has a Dashcam that runs even when the vehicle is off, it has its own battery, I can't give 5 Stars now because they drove it a lot more than needed, At least 6 separate times! it lost reverse and I wanted a complete rebuild so I would not have any issues for a while. When looking at the dashcam videos the owner test drove it (fine that's ok) Then went to Wendy's to get food, had to circle around because they forgot something. Drove over it a maintenance building at Mansfield U? It sat there for 30+ minutes ? Then it was driving to the auto parts store twice? And 2 employees neither the owner drove it playing with the $4000.00 sound system I installed in it , one said nothing is wrong with it because it was driving ok forward?? They were trying to figure why the backup camera wasn't working? It lost reverse! Not the forward gears!! I didn't track the miles on it I can figure it out since the camera records GPS location also, it was also driving down I15 . They were using it as a personal vehicle to run errands? Again I did tell the owner it has a Dashcam actually 2 one front and one back. I've worked in garages all my life you don't use customers'vehicles this way!! Especially when the issue is known and it's getting a complete rebuild!! What they did while it was in the shop is unknown because the battery only lasts 24 hours in the camera, the owner said was stuck on the lift I was told because the lift broke while it was up in the air with my vehicle so it took a couple more days? . The camera was not there to spy just to keep people honest in the event of an accident or in this case how a garage handles my property. I might upload some video clips of the events. After what it saw I wonder if the $3000.00 paid was spent properly? Did the transmission get a complete rebuild? I. I can't tell unless I pull it out and tear it down myself to inspect it. Honesty is questionable...
Read moreClay at Tyoga Transmissions is extremely knowledgeable and is very sincere with his work. He rebuilt our transmission a few months back. A new problem had occurred shortly after and I was worried it might be the transmission again. When I took it back, Clay took the time out of his busy day to hook his scanner up and took it for a drive He notified us one of the cylinders had a miss fire as well as the O2 sensors were throwing a code. He even offered to squeeze me in the following business day to fix the problem. My partner and I had done some extensive research prior to taking my vehicle to him. My partner works in the gas industry and was reasured by many past customers whom have brought their fleet vehicles to Tyoga Transmission that they indeed are extreamly reliable and knowledgeable. Above all, Clay was extremely personable as well, the perfect combo for any true professional business! Thanks so much Tyoga Transmissions, we will continue to praise and spread...
