I was so excited to roll through the parking lot of a newly developed retail plaza on the way to an eatery, only to get completely distracted by the presence of a book shop!! The interior is tastefully done, with bits of magic throughout. I found a lovely variety of fiction, nonfiction, YA, a sweet children's section, gorgeous journals & stationery, and all manner of beautiful gifty items & local things. Knowing that carefully curated, small, independent book stores are still sprouting up and finding a fanbase is truly a joy. If you love places like this in your neighborhood, speak with your dollars and support them, and be intentional about it. Never go in and take up a bookseller's time with questions, get ideas & answers, and then "find it cheaper" on Amazon. They are a resource to the community, and require a community to reciprocate & keep them in business. Today, I left with a hardback treasure, and I will definitely be...
Read moreI loveee this bookstore and the owners who operate it. She is one of the sweetest business owners I’ve ever encountered (if not the sweetest), and they both truly care about their customers. I always love our talks and she makes truly great recommendations! I always walk out with something I like. I can tell that everything they bring in is carefully curated and sought after. They carry local authors as well as best selling ones; and a little bit of everything else you would expect to find at a book store like art books and supplies, puzzles, cards, stationary, games, candles, and more. It’s a great store with friendly owners which is why it is my #1 favorite place in Ridgefield. If you need a book, game, gift for someone - or just something to do - visit this shop! You will not regret it. Always such a great experience here....

I've gone in there a few times not knowing the title of the book I'm looking for, just a vague description, but they always seem to figure it out.
I've never been they type to enjoy hanging out in a bookstore. I like to just get my book and leave, but Copper Bell feels different. It's so inviting, that I kind of like being there. My only complaint, I can never seem to leave without at least 3 new books.... Is that really a complaint though?
You should definitely stop by and check them out. I have a bookstore much closer to my house, but I make the drive out here most of the time. There's just...
