I have been a customer of this home depot for as long as I can remember. Everytime I come to this home depot it's been a hit-or-miss experience; however, this experience was horrendous! I walked into the store and asked a customer service representative for assistance on purchasing outdoor furniture as a gift for my mothers birthday. The representative seemed willing to help at first until I explained what I came in for. She directed me back into the furniture where she told me a representative from the outdoors department would come to assist me. After waiting for some time, a man approached me to ask what I would like help with after rudely explaining to me that I was interrupting his lunch break. After proceeding to complain about the interrupted lunch break with his friends, he asked me what furniture I would like; I felt like a burden. After explaining the exact furniture that I needed, an exceeded amount of times (maybe 8 or 9 times?), he sat down looking at the scanner and told me he would have to go to the back and check to see if it was in stock. In my opinion, he wouldn't have had to ask me what furniture I needed nine times if he wasnt having a side conversation with the other female employee. I explained to him that if need be, I would gladly take the display items due to the fact that I needed the furniture later that night. He asked me to wait a minute so he could check something, then he disappeared. I didnt think anything of it until he took over an hour to come back to me and ask what furniture I would like, AGAIN... what? What was he doing that entire time? If he was sincerely looking for it, wouldn't he know what he was looking for? If not, they need better organization (and staff.) After waiting ANOTHER hour and a half, they finally called for another employee by the name of simodd Harris (I totally butchered the spelling of his name) HE WAS THE ONLY EMPLOYEE WILLING TO HELP! I asked if we could call someone else to help the man looking for my furniture. He said he would be more than willing to help. WOW, what a relief! I politely asked him to call the manager up to discuss this issue with him. The man that was suppose to help me originally, walked over to me once he hear the manager was coming up and was mumbling something under his breath. He told me I didnt need to talk to themanager. WHAT?! He also stayed close by so I wouldn't say anything negative about his preformance. Once the manager arrived, he just apologized for me having to wait over two hours with my two year old. Gee, thanks; this didnt resolve anything; honestly, it seemed like he could care less. I'm sure he hears complaints often, but it would have been nice to atleast hear me out being that I'm spending over $1,000.00.
I had to rent a truck to get the items home on time. I had my brother come to the store to help me. The employee told my brother to move the rental back and forth in the parking lot to accomadate for the laziness of the first employee. Apparently, the employee didnt feel like pushing the items to the other side of the store to ring them out, so moving the truck was easier, FOR HIM. Mr. Harris said he would be willing to bring then to the other side of the store for me; he even helped put the items in the rental! after going through the whole ring out process, I would never shop here again! If you have to go to a home depot, this is not the...
Read moreDo not buy appliances from Here and have them installed. Very disappointing, spent over $2,500 on stove, microwave and dishwasher. Set up installation. We called the day before and they confirmed our appointment less than 12 hours before they were supposed to be there and we received an auto call Confirming appt. Within 8 hours of arrival. Well They called and cancelled. And we just got rid of our appliances to save “disposal fees”. So now they told us they couldn’t get us a new appointment for over a week. 2 little kids at home and no stove. Hmmm, a lot of takeout.
So they finally come and hook Up only the dishwasher and microwave because the stove had an old connector that needed to be updated which they wouldn’t do. So now we have to hire. Plumber to do. $200 more but they installed the stove for us. But still Now we’re out all the takeout charges and the plumber fees plus the HD installation fee which they eventually refunded. So now we notice the dishwasher was installed incorrectly by a person that appears to be intoxicated. The door slams shut when you open and let go. Causing our kids to get whacked by the door. The manual says it should stay open…we Calle the installation people who are apparently private contracts company. They said nothing they could do. And offered us 150 to stay quiet. Whatever that means. So eventually they stopped answering our calls and we can no longer contact them. So back to the Home Depot customer service. Extremely helpful verbally but not action, after weeks of back and forth, they told us to unhook the crooked dishwasher ourselves and return it for a full refund. Oh and the installation people said they microwave couldn’t fit in the area, which you could tell 100% it could fit. He Said I will try and sure enough perfect fit. We’re going to report the BBB and hope you decide to try lowes or anywhere else as we are now trying to figure out how to handle our crooked, screws falling...
Read moreI go to Home Depot quite often as I have a charge and always need something. This location is well organized and well staffed. The only issue I ever had was last week after the snow storm. I went to this Home Depot for a quick purchase while working. Well, as soon as i entered I walked to the left to pick up some cleaning products and while I was walking those aisles there was an associate that kept making a sharp whistling sound. Not whistling a song but more of the kind of whistle one would do to get their dogs attention. I looked up just to make sure that I wasn't in the way of anything but there was nothing coming and the associate was just staring at me. Strange, right? So I go back to what I was doing and I select my products and just ignore the constant and annoying alarming whistle. I continue through out the store to pick up some other items and after a while I hear this whistle again and I look in back of me and guess what...same associate apparently following me around. Now I'm feeling really uncomfortable. I could have done the stereotypical thing and became the angry black woman and cursed him but I decided against it basically bc it wasn't worth it. Needless to say ...this associate followed me sporadically around the store, doing his dog call, and working my nerves all the way up to the register and then stared at me while I checked out with my Home Depot Credit Card. I am sure that this older man wasn't Asset Protection but even if he was he wasted his time and energy following me around. I have never ever felt so uncomfortable spending my money. I hope the powers that be read this review, locate the associate, give him some better training, and if nothing else...let him know that dogs don't shop so he can cut out that...
