I've been wanting to try Tanglewood for months. We finally had time to go today and we loved it! The owner was kind and patient while we pursued the menu and asked questions. My partner and I finally decided on sharing a Combo (¼ pulled pork & ¼ brisket, 1 small side-we chose coleslaw, and cornbread), an appetizer of their Asian Sticky Ribs, and a side of their homemade chips.

The stars of the meal were definitely the Asian Sticky Ribs. Their cruchy edges and tender meat glazed with that Hosin BBQ sauce will definitely bring us back definitely. 100% get these. Coming in a close 2nd was the brisket. It was so moist and tender. The meat alone was amazing, and we dipped it into the Blue Q (Blueberry Bourbon BBQ sauce), and it went a level beyond. 3rd would be the pulled pork. Sometimes, the texture of pulled pork feels like the pork is disintegrating - that was NOT the case here. We were treated to bunches of well smoked pork that was complimented by their Gold n Gritty mustard sauce. The next would be the remulade and other toppings on top of the corn. The flavor there was sooo good. I know we're out of corn season, but I hope fresh corn is used in season because that sauce deserves a nice crisp corn to eat with it. We ate the rest of the sauce with the chips... speaking of... The chips were AMAZING! The perfect crunch, the seasoning was spot on and addictive!

The very few misses: This may be just a personal preference: the cornbread was soooo good; sweet, with a cake like crumb, but I really needed it to be warmed or at least room temperature. I took it home and heated it up in a pan with some butter, and it was perfection. The slaw and pickles both had good flavor. However, the texture was a Miss. The cabbage in the slaw and the cucumber from the pickle were both soft and had no crunch left them. As these were all sides, I didn't feel like they should affect the 5 stars this place clearly deserves.

We can't wait to come back and try the Chipotle Mac & Cheese hot dog and the loaded potato salad! The value was excellent too; great food for an...

Hold onto your bibs, folks! I've stumbled upon a smoky secret in the suburban jungle - Tanglewood Fire and Smoke. Tucked away in a shopping center like a tender brisket hiding in a sea of side dishes, this BBQ joint is the hidden gem your taste buds have been dreaming of.

I've made the pilgrimage to this meat mecca three times now, and let me tell you, it's like a delicious game of "Can You Top This?" Each visit, the flavors get bolder, the meat gets tenderer, and my pants get tighter. It's a sacrifice I'm willing to make for the greater good of gastronomy.

The brisket? So tender it practically slices itself. The ribs? They're playing a game of "fall off the bone" chicken - and winning. And don't get me started on the corn. It's so good, it might just be the veggie that converts carnivores.

Sure, finding Tanglewood might require a bit of culinary detective work, but trust me, your stomach will thank you for your sleuthing skills. It's like a treasure hunt where X marks the spot for finger-lickin' goodness.

So, grab your GPS and your stretchy pants, and get ready for a BBQ experience that'll make your taste buds do a happy dance. Tanglewood Fire and Smoke: where every visit is better than the last, and napkins are...

This place is amazing! The food is ridiculously delicious and the staff are always friendly. Tanglewood is easily one of our favorite places to eat, and we always look forward to trying the different specials that they come up with.

My husband and I eat takeout from here regularly and even ordered catering from Tanglewood for our wedding rehearsal dinner. Jeff, the owner, was very responsive (he emailed me back within an hour even though the restaurant was closed for vacation at the time) and helpful with our catering order. Even though he told us the amount of food we were planning on ordering was a bit much for the number of people we were expecting, we ordered it all anyway and regret nothing! I honestly think some of their best food is on their catering menu, and we've been trying to come up with an excuse to order catering from...

I'm glad this Brisket barbecue restaurant opened near me in Ridley Park. I love brisket and smoke a couple of them for family and friends a few times a year and on special occasions. The brisket chili appetizer is great and it's a fair price at $7. Three words that come to mind when eating their chili is Tangy, smokey and savory. I usually order it every time I go here. My "go to" is the brisket BBQ sandwich with the Texas Red BBQ sauce, a thinner Texas style tomato-based sauce. I don't think burnt ends are on their regular menu, but had some when they were on special. WOW! They were awesome. The owner of this place is an experienced Chef, so I do not expect to be disappointed with other items on the menu and look forward to trying them starting with a side of the smoky baked beans with pork belly.

Live in South Jersey and the two local bbq spots we loved have both closed (Smoke and Macona). Wanted BBQ on Saturday night and decided to try this spot in Delco (about 30’ away). It’s fantastic. Brisket and ribs outstanding. Well worth the drive and will be returning. Like the best bbq it didn’t need sauce because the rub had plenty of flavor but do yourself a favor and try the sauces. Great variety of sauces, hard to pick a favorite. Forgot to check if they sell the sauce in bottles but would buy. Sides are great too. Apple cole slaw won me over (and I’m not the biggest cole slaw person, too many memories of questionable slaw at outdoor events as a kid). Will be back. A lot more on the menu to explore.
