I've been buying from this local produce stand for a while now & had plenty of pleasant conversations with the man I assume is the owner...until today.
My husband & I bought some honey & a watermelon there yesterday but the watermelon was bad. So today I brought it back to show them & he told me I'd have to come back tomorrow cause he won't have any watermelons til then. When I told him I really didn't want another watermelon he told me I could trade for something else in the shop. Since there was nothing else I wanted I thought I was out my money & my watermelon so I told him that & that it was nice doing business & I wouldn't be back. Then he told me I was being "rude as hell" and went into a tirade about how he has to deal with the public all the time & mentioned again about my rudeness. Wouldn't let me say anything else without interrupting then asked if I wanted my money back. When I said yes he said I should have said that in the first place. I didn't think that was an option since he never said(til that moment) that he would refund the money.
I honestly did think I was being rude...just stating the facts as I saw them. He won't have to worry about that anyway as I WON'T be back!!! Before this happened my rating would have been...
Read moreIf I could rate zero stars I would. I'm from out of town and stopped in for peaches. I spoke to the woman how excited I was to purchase some. She said was SC peaches not Georgia, but that they were really good. I asked for soft ones to eat right away and purchased 3. Got back to hotel and sliced into one, rotten, next rotten, last rotten. I feel so betrayed. Oh well no peaches this trip for me. I'm only glad I didn't purchase more. If you don't have fresh items...
Read moreAll produce looked and smelled terrific, except for the peaches. They looked beautiful, but were hard. I think it's a little too early or I've been spoiled by peaches from Gillian's orchard. The people are so friendly and helpful. 3 people offered to help me, I walk with a cane. I will definitely shop here...
