H-E-B plus! — Local services in Rio Grande City

HEB store #13 in Rio Grande City...texas. At this store I had a terrible encounter with an employee named Abigail. She had the worst attitude I have ever seen. Apparently she must have some distain towards the general public because her condescending and rude attitude when she spoke to me lets me know that she probably has been doing that sort of stuff to the general public for quite some time and then she has the nerve to call another manager to the scene and try to flip the story on me. His name is Martin Diaz he is the night shift manager at this location. Once I explained the situation and Abigail's rudeness and misconduct towards me he was trying to shrug it off like it was nothing new to him. I told him to write down his full name and Abigail information so I can make complaint against them he chose to give me a wrong phone number for the corporate office which was a disconnected line. These two people have never been held accountable for their actions and earning a good wage at the same time. My message to both of them is if you can't handle with working and serving the general public. I suggest both of you seek employment in the private sector. And check your condescending attitude at the door before you...

Edit: I would also like to add they have racist checkout staff who like to make comments in spanish thinking that someone who looks white will not understand them. We have a lot of out of town law enforcement and national guard members who come to this store and its very disappointing to see this type of behavior from Starr County’s HEB.

Reply the the comment from the store: I already talked to the floor 2 managers about the issue, ones name was Luis who I gave the cashiers name to. I hope this matter is resolved as it’s inappropriate and the 10 years I’ve lived here I’ve never had an issue with this store.

Probably one of the worst place in regards to curbside pick up. I gave it a year for it to get approve and still takes over an hour to get a few items and things are always missing because H‑E‑B can’t figure out a system to show things in stock or the ability to cancel orders. Even Walmart honors their pick up time pretty much on point

Edit: curbside has vastly improved since they upgraded the building and would recommend trying it to county residents who do not want to...

I love this HEB in particular Most of the staff is very friendly They have the best meat around here and the store in overall is super clean . I’ve never seen spoiled produce so that’s a sign they’re always on spot. There’s always someone on floor to help you find something you don’t see. The ONLY thing I hate and always have to be letting them know is the bagging.... they tend not to care so much on what you can mix and what doesn’t go together , Or they’ll put 6 glass bottles of spaghetti sauce together that by the time you load it to your car the bag ripped apart ...then you get another bag with one tomato sauce in a Single bag???
