Dominican University — Local services in River Forest

February 16, 2023: I attended Rosary College before it was Dominican.

I earned an academic scholarship from Austin High School.

It turned out to be a bad choice for a student like me who was strong in mathematics and ballet.

I left after a semester to figure out what was next, and if it was college, I would be paying for it.

It was a beautiful campus and the nuns were kind to me.

I became Vice President of my freshman class.

But my grades were weak in the subjects I picked, seeing a career in Art Biology.

Unfortunately, I hadn't prepared myself for a science degree in Biology.

If I had known I would later become a civil rights Litigant, and a Financial CPA, I might have steered myself better.

And I would go on to study acting with Ted Liss, and make TV commercials: Kentucky Fried Chicken, Alberto Culver's, and be a print model for Wards,...

As a non-traditional student, I've been through a few different schools and failed each time. Dominican has been an absolute godsend, and they've done everything in their power to ensure my success, even if it was just something as simple as giving me a call to make sure that all was well. I can't sing praises of the staff enough; the education I've received has been of amazing quality and their Bachelors degree program has given me the skills to succeed in the professional world with an edge.
