I was a student at this location since February 3rd and I would not recommend this location at least, but the instructors have no respect for students and treat us as students, they patronize other students and bully them in front of the whole class. A friend of mine struggles with keeping up and during a practical taking apart a Manuel trans the instructor claps his hands and lols that he got it apart at least and everyone else was done 2 instructors both got aggressive with me and I was doin well on mine, he got out of his chair and yelled saying I'm pissing him off and started slamming and putting together my transmission during my hands on assignment. But I have a list of these situations I can tell. But the management isn't deserving of there positions either I'm no longer a student here and long story short 2 months ago I was having a stressful night and the instructor and the supervisor of the automotive courses both argued and antagonized me for a reaction that I refused to give so I said I will leave and web to my locker but they follow and continue to twist and say they are kicking me off school property demanding I leave and I did I came back the following Monday and basically the instructor and SV talked to the Vice President Larry keshner and told them there version I was screaming and yelling and cussing down the hallways they didn't get that reaction so they made it up and the instructors and SV and VP and president are tight so there on there own side and didn't listen to or consider my side and terminated me I Re entered except it was a bad idea I guess cus the president Karen Clark had me sign a paper stating that any incident to occur will be immediate termination so I singed and desperately got back in class and got a B and come the next class I apparently was still being setup because this time was the same as the last except it all happened in 5 mins and I was being sent home, again. I have the meetings with the VP and President on recording and especially this last time that happened a week ago I basically walked in class and asked my instructor if I can do tutoring with another instructor that was willing to work with me instead with permission from my current, but he was loud and hostile with me when he responded and said no and lunged out of his chair when I was walking back to my desk saying it wasn't fair that I can't work with the other teacher he even proceeded to walk tword me and I was asking y he's lunging out his chair at me he immediately said lets go to keshner a office and I had the most confused look on my face how this weirdly happen so fast and still keeping my patience I followed and as we were walking I told him he shouldn't lunge at students in class that's something u do on the streets not in school I sat down and keshner walked in closed the door sat down and I asked wat am I even here for and i being sent home he said yes I'm out of school for now and I'm recording as well. They refused to tell me why I was sent to the office and the reason he said I was being sent home is because I'm being combative and disrespectful and I was defending and standing up for myself not being combative so naturally the paper I signed became more clear that without reason if I'm sent home and accused of an incident I'm either way terminated. I will be reporting this to the board of higher education and I hope no else gets this type of treatment I'm struggling now with only a high school diploma and they don't care or have sympathy they pretend to.
Also they don't help find employment they give little effort and I have barley been able to keep up in class or learn much because instructors don't enforce the students that are disruptive and sit there and talk smack with the students all day than falling behind and keeping...
Read moreThis is a great school if you have the determination and motivation to get through it. Lincoln provided me with several opportunities to become successful, but like anything else you do in life I had to put the effort in to get where I wanted to go. When I first started I did not know what to expect and had no experience in my field of study. I will admit to there being bad apples at the school like any school, but if you go into the school knowing what you want and are willing to make sacrifices you can get where you want to go. I was a 4.0 GPA student, a student ambassador, as well as a student work study during my last year at Lincoln. I spent all morning at school attending day class and then stayed until 9 at night working for minimum wage. In the end it all paid off though. I completed my associates in automotive technology and completed the collision repair and refinishing technology program in April of 2013. Lincoln also provided me with the opportunity to get in the BMW STEP program, which I attended for another 6 months of training which I completed in October of 2013. I am currently working at a BMW dealership and am factory certified on all BMW models and one year away from master certification. The training I received at Lincoln is what gave me this opportunity, but my drive and my ability to ignore the bad influences that are anywhere in society is what got me to where I've been. I became friends with all my instructors and the staff at Lincoln and all of them helped me to get where I am today. If I had not gotten into STEP, I already had job offers from several repair facilities because I used the information that career services provided me and took the initiative to fill out applications and actively find a job. Lincoln does what it says and provides job opportunities, but in the end it's always been those who expect jobs to fall in their laps after school that hurt this schools reputation. You could go to a 4 year college and get a degree and have to find a job on your own and find one in a field that you didn't study in, but at least here career services actively finds job openings that you can apply to. If I can give anyone advice about attending this school it's that you will need to make sacrifices, work hard, and that no job is beneath you. You need to start from the bottom to work...
Read moreI attended Lincoln tech for one year In the collision program . I had a chance to be taught by Mr. O'Neill and Mr. Pyke. These guys are the best. I dont know where to begin. Guess Ill start at the top. Karen Clark is a wonder person. Beautiful personality. Very helpful. Especially to be the President. Her Door is always open unless she is in a meeting. Mr. Kechner I know i probably spelled that wrong..Sorry if I did. But He is the VP and once again his door is open. I only needed small things like paper and pens, but he let me know that if I needed anything to come to him or one of his staff members and they would provide assistance. My man Mr Barsak... Once again I may have spelled his name wrong, But if he sees this review He will know its him. Mr. Barsak was a very laid back helpful bossman. Im not sure what his title is , But he is one of the bosses. Like I said before he was there when you needed him. Just like the rest. He will pull you to the side if you are failing and try to help you get back up. Oh cant forget about my admissions Rep Ahmed...Yep he kept tabs on me making sure everything was going good at the school. Thanks!!! Karen McElwain you are the best.. Thanks.. She is the librarian and many other titles. She helps with computer problems and many other things like scholarships and job postings. She helped me get a scholarship. I actually ended up with 2. I got 1 school grant and a tool set because of her helping and encouraging me. Now the Career Ladies are so helpful. they stay on the grind helping you to get a job either while youre in school or when yo graduate. Nancy and JeAnne thanks... Mr Oneill was my first and last teacher. Great teacher. Helped me to learn the basics. I wasnt ready to graduate yet because i still wanted to learn more. But my time came to an end. Mr Oneill is very encouraging. If you dont get it he lets you know that you are a rookie and it will come just keep trying. I remember in welding, I was trying an couldn't get it. He came and helped me setup and then I took off from there. Thanks.... Mr Pyke... Electrical mechanical class. thanks for the assistance. I know how to solder proper now...Estimating man you helped me get to it. Audatex!! $100 bills is Mr.L He will teach you how 2 get some money! Pretty funny guy. Overall I enjoyed my experience at...
