Place use to be jumping years ago with good service and loved this spot growing up but now I have no clue what happened over the years. I went on a Saturday and didnโt expect it to be empty inside but after my visit I definitely understood why it was barely anyone in there. First letโs start with the front desk, we called trying to make a reservation for a lane or two and we was told they donโt do reservations, lanes are first come first serve. We get there trying to get our lane and was told we canโt get the lane until our whole party was there. Once the rest of the party arrived we had a total of 11 people and decided we needed to get two lanes but they only allow you to get two lanes if you have a party of 12 people. So 11 of us had to fit onto 1 lane. After some time we decided to go to the bar and get some drinks. The bartender was nice starting off but I had first asked what beers they had she said โ there should be a sign on your side of the bar somewhere โ at this point things started to get a little questionable. Once I asked for a draft beer we was told they donโt do draft beers after 6pm. There was no sign displaying that so we saw another sign showing that they sell buckets of beers however when we asked for one we was told they donโt do sell those after 6pm as well. Once again there was no sign displaying that so I ordered my beer(bottled) and continued about my night. Overall customer service was poor and it seemed like the workers didnโt want to be there. Place has too many hidden rules and policies that are not displayed. On the weekends youโre not able to enter the establishment after 12am when they close at 2am. Definitely wonโt be back but if youโre looking to have a good time at a nice place with a nice ambiance and amazing service check out bowleroโs or any other alley...
ย ย ย Read moreMy partner and I decided that we wanted to go bowling last night and chose Rinaldi's Riverdale Bowl over the Bowlero in Columbia (which was closer). We chose Rinaldi's Riverdale Bowl because the price to bowl was cheaper. So, after driving 30 minutes, we make a lane reservation for two. We then head over to get some food. When we have previously visited, there was never a long wait to order but last night, we stood in line for 45 minutes just to be told by the on-duty police officers that the kitchen would be closing for 25 minutes. We have NEVER had to wait that long just to place an order. The officer stated that this was to allow the kitchen to catch up on orders that were already placed. He asked everyone who was in line to get out of line and wait for them to make an announcement that the kitchen was reopening. We didnโt want to do that because our chances of gaining our same place in line was not guaranteed. Everyone who was currently in line was peacefully waiting and not pressuring the kitchen to reopen. It didnโt get loud until the on-duty officers approached everyone telling to get out of line. I will probably never frequent this location again after last night. I understand why Bowlero charges so much and I am willing to pay for the convenience. We could have bowled for 2 hours and eaten by the time we got back home for just a few dollars more. Our night was pretty much ruined by us trying to save a few dollars. Bowlero of Columbia, which was only 15 minutes away from our house is where we will go to bowl now. We only drove the 30 minutes to Rinaldi's Riverdale Bowl because our previous experiences were awesome. I have been totally turned off by last nightโs experience โ such...
ย ย ย Read moreWe came with our Framily (close friends and family) for the first time. We are on our annual week long vacation nearby and decided to come here as an activity due to the weather.
Here is why we won't be returning or recommending this place to other folks (likely out of town folks since we are not from the area)...
First, the Pros: Bathrooms are clean both men and women Gallons of hand sanitizers at every table Generally clean establishment
The Cons: customer service is poor. Restrictive rules for lanes. We had 10 children - ranging from age 2 to 12 so flexibility is always helpful. We couldn't bring in their water, which is in their personal water containers. the associate was inflexible, and her communication style conveyed impatience and a generally unwelcoming demeanor. while entering names into the lane, the associate announced more rules over the PA to only enter 5 names per lane.
Again, while these rules may not be unreasonable, the way in which it was communicated was unwelcoming. It seemed as if our business was not wanted. The place was basically empty (our crew arrived between 3:30 and 4pm ET), so our group seemed to liven the place.
At one point, we thought to get the kids fries and snacks to hold them over but we didn't want to give another dime to such an unwelcoming place.
Overall, it was a disappointing experience. We had a good time because we are generally good company among ourselves. However, we could take our good company and...
