Diamonds by Dawn — Local services in Riverdale

So I’m really not one to leave lengthy reviews on anything or even describe negative experiences though I fully now believe that they should be shared in order to get a grasp of some weak spots in a business that can be easily corrected so occurrences like this don’t have to happen in the future by simply working on being much better in communications with their customers

While trying to make this very short story even shorter I brought in a necklace to be fixed, which I was told would be a quick fix and that after leaving my information to some blonde girl behind the counter who 100% informed me that I would receive a call or text as soon As the jeweler Came back and fixed it which I was also assured would be within a very short time the same day. Never heard a thing, two days later I decide in the most polite and very well tempered and easy-going way to call to find out what was going on, at that point I realized/was informed the jeweler had never even looked at it until I called and then let me know it was gonna be $20 to fix having not done anything yet. OK thanks for wasting my time on that one, without a simple call or text to advise me about any of that at all so thanks for nothing on that end. Six hours goes by after my first call to confirm that it was fixed and it was! My engagement ring was handed down from my grandmother to my mother, and then to me. I wanted to modernize it a bit to make it feel like “mine” and decided to do so by adding diamonds to the shank. I had gone to multiple jewelers with this idea; however, all of them said it was impossible to add diamonds to my current shank, and I would either need to purchase a new ring altogether or purchase an entirely new shank. Seeing as this ring is a family heirloom, that was out of the question. A few of my friends had traveled across the state to have their custom rings done by Dawn, and advised that, if anyone could solve my issue, it would be Dawn. They were right.

Dawn was lovely and took the time to get to know the background of my situation. She recommended that I add three diamonds to each side of the shank to pay homage to the three generations of women who wore the ring (an idea that I loved). Not only that, but she added diamonds to the current shank, and I did not have to replace any part of my ring!! Her prices were the best we had seen, and the ring came out better than I ever could have imagined.

Dawn [owner of Diamonds by Dawn] is amazing. She is friendly, knowledgeable and professional. She is prompt and open with communicating with what you would like. She has cleaned and re-dipped my rings, and when I got them back, they were absolutely stunning. I fully trust her and never had any reservations about leaving my jewelry with her. I knew that she would take care of them as if they were her own.

Not only has she repaired some of my jewelry, but my husband and I have bought various beautiful pieces from her and we definitely were not disappointed. She has also designed a few rings for me. She took exactly what I described and made them better than I could have imagined. She had sent me proofs before she started and was very patient when I made changes.
