Brookfield Village Hall — Local services in Riverside Township

Poorly ran place. The previous village manager did a bunch of questionable items and the women at the front desk can’t provide correct information which resulted in additional ridiculous fines. This should not fall on residents. Clean up your act.

I don't see a separate google page for the Brookfield police but I'll leave it here. Same 1 star for them as well. I called on Friday and left a voicemail to find out what I need to do for a guest parking pass. No call backs and it is now Tuesday. Talked with village hall, they said to just come in. What an inconvenience to come in. Luckily I have the day off, but not everyone has the opportunity to do this. Also I need this vehicle sticker soon and there is no urgency for them. Oh but when it comes to get paid, they sure jump on that.

ANOTHER UPDATE: Vehicle sticker season is here and I was trying to purchase a vehicle sticker for my roommate. They needed her present at the office when before I could just buy the sticker. She goes there and the woman at the front desk is rude. She says she won't get a ticket on her car because they have stopped all citations while sticker season is going. This was Tuesday when I gave them the check. Friday, already got a ticket for not having a vehicle sticker. I called the police, they said that the Village didn't inform them of anything. The village hall has the WORST communication across the board. Horrible people to work with. This is where our tax money is going to????

I would like to continue with the update. Just emailed them because it's been over 3 weeks and I still haven't received the vehicle sticker so I emailed the finance director. He's like oh the sticker is here for pick up. So I have to reach out to you people to tell me if the sticker is in the office??? The front desk told me it was going to be sent through the mail. So what is it then? No one knows what they are doing. This is where my taxpayer and vehicle sticker money is going to?

UPDATE: Reached out to 3 board trustees about these concerns with the village. No response. Also the police returned my call about a ticket that needs to be voided. I told them I received 2 residential parking stickers and they said that I received them because I complain complain and complain. Come again? How about you admit for once your fault and errors as part of the village staff? How about you look why I had to reach out numerous times to get a response and the stickers from your staff? Do not start blaming residents. Stay away from this village. Do not even purchase...

I went the other day to purchase my city sticker. Now I know I was late and I was going to pay the late fee. Not the problem, I got there early and I was waiting in line the cashier told me ill be right with you. Some lady walked right in front of me and the cashier asked her hi how can I help you and let her cut in front of me I felt so horrible. I didn't directly tell them anything I called the manager and she didn't even apologize she just said im going to investigate like she didn't believe me. Its sad to see people treat others like if they had no value. For whatever ignorant reason...

Been calling village hall for a simple question regarding parks use since January of 2025. It has now been 3 months and no response to my voicemails, emails, or in person visit to the parks and rec department including reaching out to the director. Seems as though no one has any accountability in the office when pressed on this. Apparently I'm paying taxes for a bureaucrat six figure salary to not answer or respond to literal...
