Leibrands has been my go too place for nearly 20 years. Larry sold it a new owner and at first it seemed OK. But recently the way my wife was treated is astounding to me, and I never would have expected it. Leibrands has understandably been in busy season. So when they didnt have time to get struts and sway bar links done, I did them myself, no big deal. But of course an alignment is needed after and there was a rubbing sound. So I explained and dropped it off. After a few days my wife picked it up alignment done, but there was still a rubbing noise. So she turned around on the road and went right back to the shop. The mechanic Jimmy said "I already took care of that". To which my wife replied "ok, but i just pulled out and its still making the noise, can I show you?" The mechanic got mad at her and said "I know what it sounds like, I'll spray it again." He lubed the control arm bushings with penetrating oil, and said "its just noisy, but its mechanically sound".... Granted I should have been there myself to pick it up. But speaking to my wife in an angry tone like she is dumb, is rather uncalled for. If something is broken we need it fixed, not told "oh it will be fine". The arms on the front wheels are not the engine where a failure means it stops running. A failure at the control arms can cause accidents and death on a highway. I dont know if he just had a bad day, or if I need to find a new mechanic, but it really sucks when you arent sure about taking your vehicle to the place you've gone most of your adult life. Old review from 2018 I have my butcher, my lawyer, my doctor, and my banker, but the only person I trust is my mechanic. Leibrands is always straight forward and honest with me, and their customer service is beyond reproach. That combination is simply hard to find anymore. Keep up the...
Read moreTook my Toyota in because it was noisy; making a rotation noise. They diagnosed it as a bad alternator and replaced it. It sounded the same when they got finished. I took it to the Toyota dealership and the service manager Randy started it and and shut if off and stated "you have a bad water pump". They replaced it for me and it purred like a kitten.
But he noticed that the alternator light was on. He told me to take the car back to Leibrands and have them make this right. I did and Liebrand replaced the alternator again with another 'refurbished" alternator, but the light did not go off. They then got a Toyota alternator from the Toyota dealership to put in it, but that didn't fix the light problem. I took it back to the Toyota dealership and they diagnosed the problem and corrected it.
Leibrand never did make it right and they are probably still wondering what the problem was. If I went to the dentist and he filled the wrong tooth, I wouldn't have paid for it. If you went to a doctor and he replaced the wrong hip joint, you'd sue. I'm at a loss of what to do, so I'm writing this review. Mr Leibrand is a bully and a jerk....
Read moreI took my car in for a diagnostic check because i had antifreeze leaking inside my engine, which was causing the oil to turn milky like, i had a warranty for all external parts like the transmission, engine, etc... I could only get my car looked at my a automotive shop that was covered under the warranty name... Me being a former auto technician, I told them what the issues were. So i leave my car at their shop, I come back a week later and find out they told the warranty company that the engine is bad due to the engine oil not being changed, which was obviously wrong. By them telling the warranty company that, it voided out the warranty company being at fault for coverage. so i took it to another shop and had real mechanics take a look at it and they took the engine apart, and to my surprise it was exactly what i told the Leiberman shop owner or manager or whatever he is. antifreeze leaking from the radiator inside the engine. These Leiberman auto "Mechanics" cost me over 3,000 thousand dollars for their Incompetence... Absolutely They Worst Automotive...
