I'm very unhappy with this gym. I've been an anytime member for over 10 years. I have two memberships one for myself and one for my wife. We recently moved from Riverview to Apollo Beach, and wish to cancel one of our memberships. Our new neighborhood has a fitness center which is sufficient for my wife. When we called to cancel her membership, Heather (who I believe is the manager) said we are required to come into the office. That is unnecessary in my opinion and now we will have to make an extra trip which takes up precious time. Why do I have to be physically present to cancel my membership? It feels to me like a tactic to make it more difficult for me to cancel. I have kept both of our memberships active, even during the pandemic when the gym was closed. In the past, on two different occasions I was required to pay $10 for a new dongle after explaining that my vehicle was in the shop and the dongle was not lost - just temporarily unavailable. Couldn't you at least issue me a temp guest pass for a week? That said, the trainers have always been friendly and helpful (Andrew is one). So I hate to leave a negative review and have it reflect on them. However, I feel its necessary since on more than one occasion I've felt the treatment I received was...
Read moreI’ve had an anytime fitness membership for probably around 3 years. I originally started in a location that allowed guests if you paid for a certain tier in membership. Today, after frequenting this location for months w my husband, the manager on duty informed me the location didn’t allow guest privileges, which isn’t a problem but she acted as if I was lying about having guest privileges at another location. She also acted snarky and condescending when I requested to cancel my membership because the cost for such a Jenky, out dated, poorly equipped gym was way too high for what they’re providing. I expect to be treated w kindness and understanding as a paying patron when there is a misunderstanding but this manager was unprofessional, unkind, argumentative, and condescending. I have also witnessed her acting flirty and inappropriate w male clientele while she was working out. Her whole demeanor is off putting as I would be ashamed to have her as the face of my establishment. I’m also quite disappointed to have to pay $60 to cancel my membership after being a loyal client for years and being treated poorly on...
Read moreThis anytime fitness location has to be one of the most welcoming and safest feeling gyms i’ve ever been in. I’m only in riverview for the summers and after a terrible experience with LA Fitness I didn’t even know if I wanted to get another membership. However once I talked to the manager, Coach Heather, she was kind enough to offer me a student membership because my family comes here as well. Ever since i’ve been working towards eventually being a power lifter and the staff/fellow gym goers have kept me motivated to keep showing up. In terms of their coaching program I personally haven’t worked with them but my mom’s been training with Coach Andrew for about 5-6 months now and she’s impressed us all with her weight loss progress! This place has all the basic strength training equipment you need and every so often there’s even some new equipment being added in. Haven’t seen it get too crowded and everyone does their part to keep the place clean. All in all it’s a great gym for any ages and...
