EDIT I was contacted back, and I have since visited the Brandon location 5 times. Great service, great food, NO ISSUES!! Thank you!!

I have called the corporate number and left several messages at the store. At this point it is blatantly obvious no one REALLY cares what is going on in your locations. I will do reviews, I will send carrier pigeons, eventually you will listen to what I have to say. Right is right and wrong is wrong. And what is going on in Riverview is WRONG!

In June of 2023 I visited this location, placed my order at the window and was asked to pull up to where I could see the door. After about 25 minutes, and several cars behind me coming and going I started to wonder what was going on. But I had ordered extra crispy fries and okra. 10 more minutes nothing. I finally went in and the girl who had just waited on me at the window, puts her phone down and gives the standard greeting. I explained to her who I am and how long I had been waiting. She goes over to a rack and says oh my bad I thought this was a door dash. I should have learned my lesson from this. And after I start to tell you about what happened literally a year later. You are going to wonder about my mental state. Because I am HOW?? Have I been this stupid AGAIN?? But here we go, I return on July 2nd and I go to the window order & pay my money, Olivia asked me to pull forward and..... After about 35 minutes, and several cars behind me coming and going I started to wonder what was going on. But the parking lot is PACKED, I'm not going to be that person. I'll be patient, it is dinner time. And again I had ordered extra crispy fries and okra. 10 more minutes nothing. I finally went in and THREE employees are standing there on phones. Empty restaurant except 1 table of 4 people are in the restaurant. Olivia who had just waited on me at the window, puts her phone down. I explained to her who I am and how long I had been waiting. She goes over to a rack and says oh my bad I thought this was a door dash!! I am flipping out at this point! (trust me I was more mad at myself) What an idiot?? I literally thought I was being NICE because certainly the restaurant was busy! I want a manager, a red head says she is the manager. She will take my info and a general manager will reach out to me. No call, so I call the store FOUR TIMES , CRICKETS I call corporate, THREE...

Spent 70.00 on Door Dash and this has got to be some of the worst BBQ I have ever had. I rarely leave reviews but man when a chain like Mission BBQ can be better you definitely have messed up. Ordered two app pickle chips which we probably the most tasty out of everything and corn nuggets. 10.00 for each and came in very very small foam container which I would be fine with if they were half as good as the price. You definitely do not get your money's worth here. Next two pulled pork meals two sides each. Had both regular and sweet potato fries no salt on either both very bland no flavor unless you add something. The potato salad urgg this was horrible had a metallic after taste and also again bland except for whatever mayo they used (do they dislike salt and pepper here) and last the Mac and cheese was meh nothing special. Also sides very small plastic round containers and didn't have many fries either. Each of those meals 16.00 each.

Now onto the pork sandwiches bread was good but my god BLAND pork and dry even when wrapped up the whole time. I know how to make simple pulled pork at home and even mine had at least some apple cider flavor to it. The sauces that come in the small packets are not to my liking and I had 3 too try from and hated them all. This is coming from someone who has bought a pack to go of mission bbq all there sauces. Sweet baby Ray's is loads better you know your place isn't good when your sauce is a disappointment. Last was the bread pudding which was basic and 5.00 for a small what like 4-5 oz cup?

If you love food and bbq do not go here there are much better chains Sonny's , Mission, Dickie, Outlaws, are way better. I don't mind paying almost 70.00 for two meals but it has to be good and flavorful nothing was and is such a major let down. I would give more like 1.5 stars just for the food. The place inside might be nice but won't visit or try them again because there is no taste...

We've been here almost five years and haven't tried this spot yet. I'm extremely hard to impress with bbq, have tried a handful in the area and have been blown away. This one for me was average and just under a good score. The wife and son really liked it because they prefer a simple bbq where I prefer big flavors!

Pulled Pork Fries - This was probably the best thing of the dinner. The pork was decent though but the rest of toppings blended pretty well to make this work. This would be the only thing I would order again.

Brisket - Really bad. I think a 2.5 might be generous. It was bland. The flavor was non existent. It was dry. It almost didn't feel freshly cooked.

Ribs - They were alright. Better than the brisket but maybe a 3.5 tops. They were tender thankfully but still lacked a lot of flavor. I've had worse though.

Sides - Mac N Cheese was alright, a touch boring again. The cole slaw was really good. It was my favorite side. It reminded me of KFC slaw and I have a special place for that, haha. The Texas toast was better than it looked.

Sauces - I honestly only liked the Mississippi Mud and the Ole Yellow. Both of these were pretty good and I would use them again. The ranch was delicious.

I want to give a special shoutout to Olivia. Her customer service was some of the best I've experienced in Florida. She was kind, caring, and extremely helpful with the menu. Well done!

I probably won't return, maybe for the fries. Have a great...
