True Nails — Local services in Riverview

I unfortunately have to alter my 5 star review, which I will leave below. I used to have Nina do my nails for me, but she is gone now and yesterday I had such a bad experience that I had to walk out. I came in right at opening and asked "if anyone had time" because I was just driving past and thought I would stop in to see if anyone was available. I was told there was someone available, and she say me down witjnsome after asking if he "could do a fill." Now, I watched him nod yes, and he began removing my existing polish. Once he got the polish off, he walked away without saying a word and never returned. I was chatting with a lovely woman who was actually getting her stuff done for a solid 25 minutes and they finally told me I should get a pedicure as my tech wasn't ready yet. I didn't really want one, but since the guy I thought was doing my fill, since he said he would and removed my polish was apparently no longer available. I was never offered any options and told I couldn't have a design. Apparently this guy only does painting, luckily, I didn't really need a pedicure bc I cut my own nails. He filed and painted and salt scrubbed my calves, the end. I sat in that chair at least an hour and most of that time was again, alone. Even though there were several people who could have done my full before I moved to the pedi chair as they were just standing around chatting and waiting for their appts, I was never helped. I finally just went up and paid for the not real pedicure and left. I understand being busy, for sure. This is why I asked if anyone had time. If I had been told that it would be almost 2 hours, I would have left but I was told someone had time and sat down and had my polish removed. When I came up to pay and leave I get a frustrated, "ya, just noone is available." Again, just don't say you have someone if you don't have time. I would have been perfectly happy to come back another time and now? Probably not. I had never been real thrilled with the work I got from anyone else; even my wedding nails (bc Nina wasn't available) were lumpy, crooked, and uneven...and not even close to what I wanted - and the pedi was worse. I actually had to go elsewhere to have them repainted they were done so poorly here (which is another reason why I didn't want a pedi here).

Previous 5 star review: I have started coming exclusively to this salon as Nina does a wonderful job. I don't want anyone else around here anywhere...

I want to start off by saying JoJo is amazing! I just moved last year and saying goodbye to my Nail Tech from Brooklyn Ny that I went to for almost 15 years was hard! We were like family! Thank you God for allowing me to be able to find such a nice, kind, and talented professional Nail Tech in FL! I was recommended to go to JoJo by a lovely lady I met one day! I made the appointment and JoJo did this beautiful set of new nails!!! She is so talented and one of the most amazing nail techs I ever met! After trying about 6 or more places in FL since last year, I did like one of them but it was a further distance for me! Thank you so much for my special birthday set!! You have no idea the joy this brought to me!! This made me so happy!! I am blessed to have met you! Tam did my pedicure and he is wonderful! Very kind, and does a beautiful job! My mom also goes to Tam for her pedicures! Jacquelin is wonderful and always very helpful! Jaileen was very kind and friendly! Ben and Kim were very kind as well! The salon is big, beautiful inside, clean and great atmosphere! I love this Nail Salon! Thank you all, from your customer Marisa from Brooklyn Ny!!❤️

Updated review- I had went in for a quick fix that my nail needed, my amazing nail tech JoJo was not there but Chloe helped me and was amazing and so friendly! Thank you Chloe! I love this nail salon!! Always get amazing service and everyone...

I wish I could give this place zero stars I had the worst experience here and I will never be back. There are too many nail salons in the area to have a business running the way that this business is running…my friends and I will take our business elsewhere. The lady gave me the wrong price at the beginning, which was not the same price At the end. I asked them to do specific things to my nails that were not done. There was clearly a language barrier with my nail tech but I did not see licenses posted on the wall so I’m not sure I can call him that. I do not think the man was licensed that was doing my nails I had to explain how the process worked for dip and then other workers in the nail salon, had to come over and explain to him how to do the dip on my nails. I asked for four coats on my nails to be done, and they only did two coats, so I know it won’t last. I was handed off to two different people in the two hours I was there. Additionally, the owner also was displeased with how everything was handled during my services and said she would call me the next day to schedule a reappointment to fix my nails and never called me so I can’t trust this place. I would highly recommend going elsewhere. Poor quality is what you will...
