Big Lots — Local services in Roanoke

Every since my first visit cause I never been before it was a bad experience. They automatically follow you around as if you are a known thief. All I am doing is checking out the store to see what they even had in the store cause I know nothing about it. They followed me and my kids around as stalkers and one lady yelled at my kid for just touching something cause he wanted me to purchase it and I wasn't for sure if I even wanted to purchase anything cause I am a bargain shopper. They keep doing it every time we come into the store and yet I haven't ever stolen anything and they cant prove I have from all the stalking. Every time I come in I always purchase items and they still continue stalking me I am about ready to say something soon about it but I guess I will do this first. But they are horrible people but I will always continue being a bargain shopper and this is the only store I ever been to that has ever in my life stalked me. I have come in with strollers and they just follow me from a regular stroller to à bike stroller. I have really young kids and I need to shop and I am shopping without any help and I definitely will not ask them since they been this way toward us. The worst store ever. Burlington never does that to me and I always feel comfortable shopping with them. You dont have to do anything or give them reasons to stalk you and they will do it. Horrible...

Was looking for a larger above ground pool as our previous one had worn out. Not many available around town come to find out. I called the store on Hershberger and a delightful young lady named Maddie answered phone on 3rd ring, she said that she thought they had them - but went to verify. Came back to phone very shortly and said they had 2 in stock. Told her I would be there in 5 minutes. When I got there she pointed me to where they were - an older gentleman met me and went to they back and loaded it on a cart and he and the manager helped me load it in my van. I have to travel almost a hundred miles to shop at a Big Lots and relish the opportunity. However, this had to have been my worst visit ever to any Big Lots. I used the sales flyer and posted specials to shop well over $100 of "great buys." I was dismayed at the checkout counter because only 1 cashier was serving 4 customers. In order to assist the wait time of customers behind me I bagged my purchases. That was a huge mistake because when I returned home I found the sales slip had overcharged me almost $20 more than the advertised specials on my flyer that I brought home. ...
