Going to Schewels Home was an awesome experience. From the moment I walked in it was evident that they are focused primarily on customer service, rather than sales. The representative who assisted me, Charles, was very knowledgeable and extremely motivated to ensure that I purchased what was right for me, not what was most expensive or would earn him the biggest commission. He was patient, kind, and very helpful. He helped me pick out the perfect bed and frame for my new place.

After making my selection, I was taken to the financing area. I filled out a simple form and was seated in front of a very friendly woman who discussed financing options with me and explained everything to me regarding the financing process. She worked with me to secure monthly payments that we're both practical and affordable, as well as easy to manage.

Throughout the process, I was warmly greeted by several employees, including the manager, who thanked me for coming in and becoming a customer. I was told repeatedly to not hesitate to contact Schewels with any concerns. I left feeling like a valued customer - even moreso about a week later when I received a handwritten card in the mail from Charles, once again thanking me for my business and offering his assistance should the need ever arise.

My bed and frame were promptly delivered to my new address two days later by two men who were very cordial and professional. They spoke with me to determine where I wanted the bed placed and then they surveyed my residence to determine the best method of bringing everything inside. Everything came very well packaged and securely bundled so that there was no damage. In less than an hour, everything was put into place and professionally assembled. The guys then explained to me about how to properly care for the bed and frame and left me with a box filled with many different supplies for doing just that - wood cleaner, leather cleaner, etc. It was as awesome an experience as my in-store visit.

I must say that my initial decision to purchase a new bed and frame was a daunting one. I was very apprehensive and overwhelmed at the thought of having to choose amongst a seemingly endless combination of possibilities - all while avoiding high-pressure sales tactics or excessively high prices. I am so happy that Schewels was my first stop because the stress I was under was immediately relieved by them. It is abundantly clear that Schewels is a family owned business which operates with professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail. Their common-sense approach to business is something that I feel all but gone from today's corporate landscape of quick sales and commission-over-service management style. Schewels Home is customer-focused and satisfaction-driven, and I will not purchase new furniture...

We were recently in the moving process from Southeastern Pennsylvania to Roanoke VA, and were looking to buy new furniture. We stumbled upon Schewels coming out of the Homer store next door (because someone forgot to bring his tape measure for the curtains). We were greeted by Hannah, and she helped us pick out new furniture (living room furniture, dining room furniture, new master bedroom furniture, coffee table, possible entertainment center, et c). We explained to her that at that time we were just looking, but she still treated us like we were going to purchase then and there. We fell in love with a living room set of chair/loveseat/sofa. It was the floor model, but was in excellent condition. Because of the in transit state of our move, we didn't get it right then and there.

We came back the following week on Sunday hoping Hannah would be there, but unfortunately she was off. Ed helped us. I was concerned he'd get the sales credit, but he assured me that Hannah would get it. So, with Ed's help, we got the living room set. He also showed us a few mattresses, and we'll be back - eventually - to get one as well.

All in all, we personally had a wonderful experience with this store and the salespeople, and as we are replacing our old worn out pieces, Schewels will DEFINITELY be the first on the list to check. I can't say enough about how friendly they were - not just welcoming us to the store, but making us feel welcomed to...

We went in looking for a couch on a late Thursday afternoon. We were pleasantly greeted as we entered the store. I told the salesperson what we were there for and she told me the general area of the store to go to for the sofas we were looking for. She followed behind us to that area of the store. I instantly found a sofa that I liked. It was the first one that I tried. She sat down on the loveseat of the set I was looking at and relaxed as she answered any and all questions that we had about the couch and the purchase options and process. She did not hover like a vulture waiting for the sale. She did not attempt to persuade us to purchase this or any other furniture.

After we told her we would like to buy this sofa, she escorted us back to cashier to complete the purchase. She thanked us for our purchase and handed us off to the cashier and then left. The cashier then finished the transaction. The cashier was respectful and courteous, as well as good humored.

The entire experience was very pleasant and relaxed. There was no high pressure at any point in the purchase of our new couch. Thank you to the employees we had interactions with while at the store in Roanoke, Virginia. We are looking forward to the arrival of our new sofa in less than a week. We will return there for any future furniture purchases. Thank you Schewels Home...
