I just wanted to share my AMAZING personal service I received at the Pawn America in Robbinsdale. I have to say, in this current place in time where Customer service and the declining practice of going "the extra mile" for ones customer's seems to belong to some long forgotten bygone era..... So. When Miko and Donna kept the doors open nearly a whole ten minutes after scheduled close for me. I was what can only be described as a combination of shocked, surprised, grateful, thankful, but mainly...... relieved and happy. All understatements.
Essentially I had brought a 65 inch flat screen to pawn, but I had forgot the remote control which usually would preclude any sale from happening. Donna and Miko took pity and compassion on me, and even though they didn't have to when we're probably very eager to go home and their families after a very hard day of work, decided to give me a chance to do what I needed to do to complete the transaction which I desperately needed. It just seems nowadays this sort of kindness happens less and less frequently and as far and fewer between, so I just really have to say thanks and hopefully make it public that these are two people who no that there's often times more to a job than just showing up when you're supposed to leaving, and doing the bare minimum. They even turn down my attempts to tip them. Thank you guys very much. You helped me out quite a bit and I hope you get at least some recognition of some sort. Thanks and I hope that you guys always keep that kindness going. I'd considermyself and anyone else in general that I was fortunate to work with Thank you kindly and thouroughly,...
Read moreTerrible customer service from literally first step in door. Lady behind counter basically wouldn't let me enter until I parked in a spot. Which I had reason for. On the right the truck was on left line and handicap spot on the left. I moved my truck but the current way she should of addressed me was in a friendly manner say. " Hello! I'm sorry I see it's very tight tolerance but would you please park in a spot? Thank you!". As opposed to her actually handling of the situation. " Before you take another step go park your vehicle in a spot". I should of just gone somewhere else right there but nope I returned after parking and was greated by employee of the month number 2! Of course I get ignored until he was done with with walking back and forth doing most likely his job probably. But I bet the old Pawn America customer service for Dummies handbook says to always greet the customer with a smile. I got plenty of Yohns but no smiles. He seemed to be falling asleep idk. Then I had 3 things I wanted to sell. Of course would only take one. But he did give me more money then I paid for it originally. I don't even write reviews but considering I haven't been able to get work for a year but these 2 DMV drop outs are good in the hood until they get a customer then...
Read morePut a ring in to get resized. They quoted me $80, twice. I paid that and it was to return in 3 weeks. 3 weeks go by and they called to tell me the ring not done because I need to pay more for the job to get done and that I can come pick it up because their jeweler just sent it back without even speaking to me. I go to pick it up and request to speak to the manager. The manager avoided speaking to me twice, but instead had one of her other workers waste my time asking me questions to problems only she can solve. Once the worker figured this out, he went back to tell her more of the story and she finally came from out her office to be completely rude to me. To tell me she's not a jeweler and they couldn't have known it would cost more. She offered no solutions, argue with me about the situation, started yelling at me and then told me I would never be allowed in her store or any other pawn America ever again. That's how she dealt with their mistake. I will be calling the corporate office to complain... if one exist 🤷🏾♂️.
Update: Corporate got back to me and fixed the problem. I might never return to this location, but Pawn America has been one of my favorite places to do business at. I will continue to at their many other awesome...
