Food is always great here. My family and I have eaten at Broadway pizza (riverside location) for many years. That location is now closed and new apartments are build in the replacement. I transition over to Robbinsdale the next location closest to me. I haven't had any problems with the food, but they have "very poor customer service" skills. I ordered food in person a few days prior. Then I received a voice mail a few days later from a women saying my pizza was ready for pick up. 🙃 So, of course I thought someone had my credit card information 🙄, because I didnt order more pizzas. I called and talked with the women who called me, she explained the situation that someone more likely entered my number by mistake, but I wasn't charged for anything. I told her to be safe I was going to cancel my card out. She replied to me rudely "do what you want it's your card, but I'm saying nobody charge you anything", so I asked her in return why she was being so rude to me with her tone of voice. Then she asked if I wanted to speak to the manager. I replied sure. The manager (owner) gets on the phone. I tried to explained how I was spoken too. He in return cut me off and stated "no she didn't I was standing right next to her when she was talking to you". I replied to him as well and asked why he was being rude when he's the manager. Smh. I told him they must not know what good customer services is, if he allows his employees to talk to customer that way. He in return said no one talked to you rudely and saysgood day and hangs up on me! I will not be going to this location again in the future or referring anyone to this location. I'm assuming the person was probably a family member employee and was receiving a pass for being rude to customers. Most managers apologize for the situation and say their sorry for what happen. 😐 But this...
Read moreCan someone please tell me why on gods green earth every time I order a pizza in Minnesota from a non-national chain they cut it in tiny little 1 inch squares? I truly do not understand it. It’s an annoying way to eat a pizza. The crust normally gives a natural “handle” by which to pick up your slice so you don’t have to get your fingers greasy. When you dice it up into 40 tiny pieces, you lose the outside edge or “handle” and have nothing to pick it up with.
It’s a cracker crust pizza, which is not necessarily a bad thing….but it often arrives so floppy and watery and soggy such that it more closely resembles an uncooked flour tortilla in texture. Truly a bummer when that happens. Not sure why sometimes it comes out crispy, but other times like they took it out of the oven and soaked it in water, then put toppings on.
Another thing Broadway does that I keep finding in these pizza places is putting the cheese on top of the toppings. 🤯 Why on earth would you do this? It makes it so the toppings slide off and don’t adhere to the crust. The cheese is meant to go UNDER the toppings for a simple reason: to provide a “glue” to hold toppings together. When you reverse it, the cheese has nothing to grab onto. Why do you construct your pizza in this manner?
I can say a lot of positive things about this place though. The service is fantastic, everyone there is incredibly nice. And the pizza doesn’t actually taste bad at all. It’s just constructed strangely and cut in tiny messy squares. So weird man. I...
Read moreGreat food, good atmosphere when I go there, and friendly service too.
So why ding them on service? Delivery is sketchy. Had them cancel an order a few years back cause the "driver didn't want to drive in the dark." Least that's the excuse I was told. Strike 1.
Had one other occasion where food showed up half an hour to an hour late. A cook had to deliver my food. He apologized for it being late. I forgot the reasoning behind that one. But more then likely driver issue again since it was the cook who delivered. Strike 2.
Just had another ordered cancelled tonight due to "no longer delivering tonight." Granted it let me place an order, and it charged my card. Got a call from them telling me to come get it or cancel it. Since I don't drive, had to cancel it. Now I'm stuck with a pending $50 transaction on my card, and not enough money to order from somewhere else for dinner! Strike 3! Lucky it ain't baseball.
Not sure who's at fault with this; their website, Toast(they use toast for orders now), or staff/training; but it should not happen! Don't allow for delivery orders when you don't have a driver!!!!!!
Will give them a chance again in future...but only cause the food is good.
And yes this review may sound negative, but don't take it that way. The food and service seriously is good. I'm just very hangry; trying to figure out what I can order with the remaining $5 on my card, and VERY frustrated with the delivery 'lie' that...
