Normally I love this store and go here for most things. But my last visit was terribly frustrating. This store used to be a lot more helpful, friendly, and knowledgable. Over the years, some of that has been faded. They have clearance sales and people look to get things for what they are marked. On sale and good deals. That's what clearance is about. Right? Well I am not much of a clothes shopper, but found a shirt that I really liked. It was marked at $16.49. However at the register it rang up at $30.99. The young lady said that she could call someone to help. I told her that I didn't want to hold up everyone as there was a long line. I paid for my other things and brought the shirt to customer service to ring up. They called a young man from clothing to check it out. He said that the sale price was the $30.99. Nowhere on the tag or shirt was there a sticker for that amount. And they refused to honor the $16.49 that it was marked just saying that they aren't sure why it was marked as that and one of there employees must have made an error. I understand employee errors, but as a customer, that isn't my fault. They should have honored the marked price and checked the rest to fix them if there are more....
Read moreMost people at the returns desk are rude. They are the worst retail store in the city of Rochester for making returns. I had purchased an air compressor for a job that I had coming up. The first day on the job, I turned it on and it wouldn't stop running. Obviously the regulator was not functioning properly. When I tried to make the return for an exchange the young man said it would have to go to the service department to see if it could be repaired or exchanged. Then I talked to his boss who told me the same thing. After 45 minutes of dickering with those two, I asked for the store manager who showed up after about 20 minutes. Then I waited for another 10 minutes while he took care of some other business. But he did let me exchange the compressor, although he did clarify that it was their policy to send it in for repair. Buyer beware of Mills fleet farm Rochester Minnesota.
Last week I tried to return a pair of pants. The young kid that was waiting on me said I needed the tags before I could return my purchase. So I went home and got the tags. The next day I made the return again to a very friendly young lady who didn't even ask...
Read morePURE DESCRIMINATION! I usually use the Lakeville location but I had to come down this way so I thought I would check out this location since it is one of there flagship stores (Probably 3x the size of Lakevilles.) so I thought for sure that they would be better stocked and cary clothing is sizes for everyone; not just people of a larger than average size like Lakeville. Was I disappointed! While they did have the clothing racks stocked, & they had more of them, they were only stocked with 1 large item and the rest were XL - 3XL. EVERYTHING from hooded flannels, winter snow pants & jackets, Carhart base layer tops and bottoms; and all the boots only came in large sizes. This is DISCRIMINATION plain and simple. You don't have clothing for anyone of normal stature much less for someone with a smaller frame myself. I had a lot of health problems from the time I was born that kept me from growing past 5' 6" tall and 129 lbs. Now if you only carried clothes that fit people that were lets say no more than 5' 8" tall, 180 lbs you would be in all sorts of trouble. I think I will contact K.A.R.E. 11 News; they love these...
