Target — Local services in Rochester

Don't go here, especially if you are shipt, instacart, Doordash etc.* Would be one star but it was clean (definitely not organized) and most of the employees were friendly.

Im a Shipt shopper and i shop at target for myself. I have traveled all over the US and been to maaaany targets. All was good this trip, until i was trying to check out with my two Shipt orders. Like other reviews have said, they have so many employees and they watch everyone like they're all trying to steal....... from target..... where there's just so much valuable stuff or whatever. Anyways, i go to check out but there are no signs for Shipt shoppers so i had to ask where they wanted me to go, i happened to catch two men walking past the registers (around probably 845am today) and they were more rude to me than i have ever encountered from a target employee. Completely blew me off like my words were a waste of time to them. Very unacceptable behavior. If i were target, id check the cameras and maybe give those guys a nice reminder that EVERY customer is important, weather shopping for themselves or someone else. I don't care if you are/were in a rush and they're lucky i didn't see their name tags otherwise id be calling target myself to complain. I have several reasons for my 3 star rating:

For larger orders I use the drive up service. The ladies and gentlemen who do the running for the drive up services are 1st rate and deserve 5+ stars.

Most of the staff is friendly and helpful. I use a wheelchair and the are more than willing to reach something for me or ask if I need anything.

On the evening of January 10th, 2023 I was challenged by a manager about my service dogs upon rolling into the store. Both dogs were well in control and causing no issues. Eventually, after calling over two other managers we were allowed to enter the store. My service dog team and I had been coming to that target 2-3 times weekly for almost 6 months with no problems in the store, no incidents with other managers, and no incidents with the dogs.

On 1/30 I had gone to Petsmart to get dog food before coming to Target. I had the dog food on the foot plates of my wheelchair. I had a member of the loss prevention services walk up to me after I had checked out without saying a word and just stepped in front of me to scan the bag of dog food I had bought at Petsmart. I had one of my service dogs with me, and while he has been trained not to react you can’t trust all dogs. I would have appreciated that team member asking to talk to me...

Was 5 minutes late for my sons eye appointment due to traffic. Two of the employees were just standing around and they said we would have to reschedule because we were late. I am usually very punctual but this was beyond my control. It was only 5 minutes! They lost out on my business ever being there. Now about the retail schemes Target has recently been trying...Bought a pizza based off the sign stating $4.00 well it rang up 5.79. Upon further look in small print it states "when you buy 3" Ok, so why does that statement have to be such small print? I think it should be in the same size font as the "$4.00" and immediately next to it. So then...decide to get some candy for the family. Starburts sale sign "1.88" but at the register it rings as $2.09 grrrr...it's just .21 cents but seriously? I bought 2. And found out that just one flavor was on sale. Not the other flavors. 😡 And then...their giant shopping basket displays that get in the way when people come flying out of the aisles and the giant baskets are in the way so you can't move to the side but rather have to stop and go around. Anyways...every time I go to target something doesn't ring up right. It...
