I love this place for it's wide selection of arts and crafts and home decor, but the managers there are absolutely appalling. Apparently because I ride a bike (my $3,000 Electric Bike.) and have red hair, that automatically makes me a thief. The last time I was in there the manager went to great lengths to make me feel uncomfortable. She even pretended to get a call from the Rochester police (over the intercom) while she was one aisle over from me so she could reply LOUDLY via walkie talkie that she needed them to look over some footage for possible shoplifting. I didn't think much of it at this point, however after I went over to the opposite side of the store and TWO MORE TIMES she coincidentally just happened to be yet again one aisle over from me so she could loudly communicate via walkie talkie first about the eta of the Rochester Police so they could help her with a shoplifter and then about having the go to the back office to go over the footage with her, however they were never actually seen and she continues to follow my every move thru the store and never went to assist these officers she claimed to have there. Typically I wouldn't think this was for me however when I went to cash out, she coincidentally mom longer needed to be stocking every aisle that happened to be next to the one I was shopping in and she instead stood at the end of the lane I cashed out in, with her arms crossed staring at me. Another customer even said something to me about it. I was humiliated. Shame on that manager and her socially profiling me. But this is nothing new to Hobby Lobby. Mind you, I spend anywhere between $100 to $400 every time I go there, but their other manager, if he sees you in the bead aisle (I make and sell jewlery so I'm there a lot.) and you don't look like a cookie cutter soccer mom, he will literally follow you for the rest of your trip there "stocking" the same aisle you're in and directly NEXT to where you're looking. Almost brushing up against you because he's so close. Meanwhile, I've watched someone else pocket store items while I was being made to feel like the criminal all in the name of socially profiling customers. This manager literally chased me out the door and followed me to the parking lot after I PAID for ALL my things. For what reason?? To further humiliate me?? Hobby Lobby you need to talk to your managers at this location and your lost prevention team because they are absolutely atrocious and they waste time harassing your customers who are just innocently shopping and don't even see the real theft taking place elsewhere...
Read moreDo not order anything from this store! I tried to order yarn last Wednesday, on December 4th, from Nicole, and was told that it would be in on the following Monday, December 9. Nobody called me, and I called them back today, December 13th. I was told it did not come in, by Chris, a manager, and that they only call if it comes in. He explained this matter of factly, as if he did not care about my situation at all, he also spoke over me several times. I told him that in the interest of the customer someone should have called to let me know either way, and that no one told me that it may not come in, as I would have continued my search otherwise, which is what I am doing now. He told me that it was coming "all the way from Oklahoma" and that he could not guarantee that it would come in next week either. He asked me why I was calling, and accused me of berating his employees, that said my order was locked in a room that no one had access to. I told him that I was giving him constructive feedback that he may want to use with future customers, and he just laughed at me, good luck!
Update, I found the yarn that I needed at Jo-ann's and it was on sight at 40% off, and the associate was...
Read moreI love Hobby lobby you can find everything at a decent price the employees all seem to be very nice they don’t follow you around the store and haunt you you can just shop in peace and it’s very relaxing and it’s always been clean when I’ve been in there. However with that said I’m giving this store three stars because most recently I was in there and I had forgot a bag of tissue paper and a few other little things I purchased and two days later when I went to go wrap gifts I realize I didn’t have that bag and I remember only grabbing one bag so when I called the store they told me that they did not have the bag most likely they just put it back on the shelf it was 2 days!! Not a week I’m a single mom that is raising 3 kids I’m always busy and I didn’t realize it right away!! I don’t have $30 to just give to hobby lobby days before Christmas I don’t like that policy at all I think there should be at least a few days that they hold it before they put somebody merchandise back on the shelves that they purchased so...
