I was so happy when I found out about this Ulta right up the street from me. I had been in there a few times but I had to go in recently to stock up on a lot of new make-up as I moved and had to throw away most of my collection. I was there for maybe a total of 30 minutes, in that 30 minutes I was approached by four or five different workers, each of those workers approached me more than once. They helped me locate a few items which was helpful, but I could not look at something or walk to a different isle without being approached by a worker. Sometimes I just like to look at items and browse, I don't always need help finding an item. The workers are constantly monitoring you and it takes away from the shopping experience and makes me anxious. You will be constantly followed, watched, and approached more than once by the same worker, as well as multiple workers. One specific worker who was not very friendly as the others came up and asked if I needed help finding something. I told her at this time I am just looking at items and don't need any help. She then came back took a $50 item out of my bag and brought it out front to counter and said I can collect it when I buy the rest of my items. She also said if I need something specifically to ask a worker to get it for me. So now we can't take things off shelves on our own? I then was approached by another worker who helped me pick out an item that was $99, when I asked her if it needed to go up front with my other item she said no and I can put it with the other items I'm buying. Why does my $50 item need to be taken to the counter out of my bag, but a $99 dollar product can stay in my bag? I just thought that was weird and it did not make sense. I ended up leaving early than I wanted because I couldn't take it anymore. Constantly being approached, followed, and watched in that 30 minutes was enough for me. I wanted to get a foundation and a few other items but decided to leave because I was so uncomfortable. Please stop treating your customers like thieves, I clearly had a bag full of products, there was no reason to treat me that way. This was in no way a relaxing shopping day for me, I truly think they thought I was trying to steal something, yet I spent over $300 and would have spent more if I wasn't being stalked, this literally felt like harassment. I've never felt so rushed or anxious by workers in any other store. Please respect that some people like to come in this store to browse and don't always have a shopping list to hand over to a worker. We like to browse and check out the store without feeling like a criminal. I think I will stick to CVS and the Newington Ulta until they can stop treating customers like thieves. Read moreI am a regular here and I have to say that most of the staff (besides the managers and some select employees) are nice. However, I am giving this particular Ulta a bad review because of all the things that the managers have done to me and my sister. I have noticed (a couple times actually) that the managers have been hawking over us whenever we’re in there, even though I am a regular. I usually purchase something when I make a trip there, so I don’t understand why they treat me like a thug when they have seen me so many times! The first time it happened, I didn’t really notice until my sister brought it up and then the next few times, I saw a manager watching over my sister like a hawk while she was browsing the skincare section. At first I thought she was watching an employee but then the employee moved to the Tarte section and the manager was still staring at that area. They’re also pretty stingy about gift with purchases. For example, if they don’t have the gift in stock, most of the managers just rudely dismiss the coupon. I think that they could at least say something like “I’m sorry but we don’t have that in stock. Check back again on (day the get shipments) to see if we have it by then”, which is what other Ulta stores tell me when they don’t have it. These terrible experiences have made me go to other Ultas that are out of my area because I don’t want to support terrible people and management like this. yea yall changed my whole outlook on where to go not just for my needs but you guys are the ones specifically at Rochester Crossings y'all got this unique spunk that continues to intrigue me and thats all it takes to have a faithful customer.
If y'all need help ever, don't you ever be afraid to ask for that help. I am a shy person, but I tell you I walk in, and it's like I'm myself. Talkative kind of loud when something is found and feel comfortable with every single person I've met. From the woman to men y'all rock you really do. Don't ever change who you all are. There are a few of you I could hug so tight for giving me such advice. ❤️
Ulta beauty is a place I count on to help me out, especially if an emergency arises. C'mon girls, you know how shiz can happen, lol
