I started frequenting this location about a year ago. The staff was so friendly and my order was always great. In the last two months I excitedly pulled in to order my Mango Magic and Turkey Cheddar Bacon to be told both times âWe have alot of food so itâs going to be a long time.â Now, not only did I order one drink and one sandwich which is a simple enough request, but there was only one vehicle in front of us. It is absolutely awful business etiquette to tell customers that, and as a customer service worker myself, I would never tell that to a paying customer. You grin and bear it in the real world. If you were a mason inspecting a fireplace for a rebuild, you would never tell the customer that itâs going to be a long time before they receive what they are paying for. They will simply find another person to do the job. Which is exactly what I did both times I was told that my food is going to take a long time. If anything- donât tell the customer and then apologize when they pull up. Offer a coupon for a free smoothie- anything but âNo.â As a customer, I would have been much less upset to wait for my order than I would be to have been to leave and find a different business to spend my hard earned money. Iâm not sure what worker in that building uses that phrase, but they need to be written up, or better yet fired. They alone are dragging your establishment down and unfortunately I will not be returning to this location after today.    Read moreAfter today I would honestly leave zero stars if it was an option. We donât come here often as itâs very expensive but I bring my son occasionally as a treat. Normally we go inside but today I went through the drive through. I got up to the window after about 10 minutes and the woman looked at me (clearly annoyed) through the closed window before slowly opening it and asking in a rude tone if she could help me. I said âYes please can I just get a kids awesome ch-â and didnât get to finish my order as she cut me off asking if I was trying to order. I told her I was and she gestured back to the menu telling me that the speaker was back there.
I apologized and said I hadnât used their drive through before and didnât notice. She then told me I knew it was there because I told them to wait and then drove away. This didnât happen and my window wasnât even down when I drove by the speaker. I told her that certainly didnât happen but again I was sorry I missed it and tried to ask for the kids smoothie. I was cut off again and she told me that if I wanted to place an order I was going to have to drive around to the back of the line (multiple cars had pulled in behind me) and wait my turn. I didnât have time to wait in another 10-15 minute line and with her attitude I wasnât interested in dealing with her more so I chose to leave.    Read moreTERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Stopped by during my camping trip today with a friend. Not from around here and have only ever been to a Tropical Smoothie Cafe a handful of times. We decided to hit the drive thru because we were still in our swimsuits. When we arrived to the drive thru both my friend and I couldnât locate a speaker and sat at the menu board for a minute or two with no response from an employee. We decided to pull up to the window and were greeted with the nastiest worker. Chloe H proceeded to ask us in a very rude and unkind tone âIâm just curious as to why you blew past the speaker.â She caught both my friend and I off guard and created a very awkward and uncomfortable ordering atmosphere.
