Went in this past Friday to buy some shotgun shells after speaking with a lady on the phone stating they had gotten Winchester shells in the shot size and caliber I was looking for that day. When I got to the store I saw about 4 or 5 cases of them behind the counter and asked the older gentleman up front for the shells I was after. He pulled out some Rio brand shells and I told him what the lady on the phone had told me about the winchesters and I that I have had some issues in the past with Rio shells not cycling in my Gun but the winchesters have never given me any trouble and I would prefer to get them. He proceeded to tell me the shells werenât for sale because he wanted to sell what he had first and that he wouldnât open the box for me. The man who I am assuming is the owner came out from the back and finally offered to sell me the 3 boxes of the Rio shells and âgraciouslyâ opened the box of winchesters to get me two more boxes (I came in looking for 5). Not sure what the difference is in selling shells today or two weeks from now but to me selling a product the day you get it in and taking care of what the customer wanted would be a win to me. If I were you I would give your business to some of the other shops...
Read moreNice selection of reloading supplies except for bullets. They have some rifle and pistol bullets, but not a huge variety. They have a large selection of powders and primers as well as some die sets and other reloading accessories. Prices are at or below online prices for most powders and primers. They offer fair to generous prices for trade ins on guns, 60-70% of a new gun's retail in my experience. New gun prices are very good as well. No crazy markup where they would knock 50 bucks off to make you think you're getting a deal. They are a good deal from the start. I've price matched the some of the same guns at other local stores and have found them to be as much as $200 lower on their sticker price. I highly...
Read moreI've been shopping for over a year for a pistol but had issues with most models due to arthritis and lack of hand strength to rack. On my most recent visit to Lead Chunkers, Audrey immediately suggested the new Smith & Wesson 380 EZ. I held it, racked the slide, and fell in love. On my first trip to the range, the gun was everything Audrey said it would be and more. Easy to aim, easy to load clip, easy to rack. Both Audrey and Rodney are very helpful and willing to answer all questions. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this store especially for women...
