Dianna in the sandwich/sushi department is rude and unprofessional. I placed an order on my sandwich approximately an hr before I arrived. I arrived at Big Y and waited for five minutes before I started looking for an employee to assist me with a simple pick up. By the way, while waiting for someone to assist me, I noticed a 30in. Sandwich sitting on the counter. I went over to the next station and ask if someone can assist me. Dianna, who I now know her name stated very rudely while bagging chickensā YOUR GOING TO HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL IM DONEā. Very nasty and loud. She was aggressive with her tone and her body language seemed as if she was going to attack me. I said ok very potentially and returned to the sandwich station. 10 minutes later Dianna still was bagging chicken. There was no one waiting physically at the station Dianna was working at, as I was waiting for my sandwich in person. I walk to the front of the store and explained the situation to the front end manager. The manager assisted me. Guess what, the sandwich was sitting on the counter in front of me the entire time I was waiting to be assist by an employee. May I remind you this was a 90 degree day, my sandwich was not placed in the fridge as they normally do AND my sandwich had mayonnaise on it. The front end manager asked Dianna for her name, (at the time we did not know her name), she replied, āI donāt have to give her my nameā. The front end manager stated Dianna was extremely rude. Communication, courteousness, efficiency are all departments in which they truly excelled. I called the day prior to reconfirm and each department knew exactly who I was and what I ordered, were able to confirm we were all set and sincerely thanked me for my business and for choosing them during my hard times, while sending condolences. Not only did Ryan, I believe the produce manager, greet me in the bakery, he brought the produce order over to the sandwich area and proceeded to not only streamline my checkout in the floral area, but to bring almost all of the carts to my car for me. His help was so instrumental. The gentleman in the sandwich area was so kind and friendly. He had 24 platters plus organized and ready to go and because of his preparedness, we were able to load methodically and quickly. The lady in the florist was even happy to help make any accommodations for an easier check out. Needless to say the food was amazing! I canāt Thank You enough! They are always on Better Connecticut or Summer Backyard Cookout is wonderful to watch and learn .My Husband had the Bakery make my Birthday cake here and he took home fresh cut up fruit that stays fresh . I love to stock up on when they have Sale's like buy 1 and get 1-free or buy 1-or get 2 free. I love to prepare to stock up a but before the freezing below winter months .They are a tad pricy on something's .
