1 star. my dad went for a stroke and a couple days i brought clothes. a few days later, they went missing. a few days later, i brought him more clothes and again, the next day they went missing. my dad had asked the manager/owner about them and the manager accused my dad of stealing his own clothes and said that my dad had no proof of being brought clothes. the manager yelled at my dad, but as soon as my dad backed himself up and said one cuss word, the manager got mad and stormed off. a staff member said that i never brought any clothes and that my dad made me lie for him which is FAR from the truth. i had went to try and solve the problem myself and got zero help, then saying there was nothing they could do. my uncle had also went and tried to get someone to solve the problem, and they said they would buy my dad replacements. they had brought my dad ‘prison clothes’ which consisted of 5 pairs of the same shorts and 6 plain white shirts; and when my dad went to say something the manager fussed. either they gave my dads clothes to someone else after they were washed or they actually went missing to where nobody could find them. there were 2-3 staff members that actually helped my dad, especially in therapy. i have seen all of this happen and i am beyond upset especially with them accusing me of something i didn’t do. 75% of the workers were the worst. the manager/owner’s names is Steve Jones and the staff members name is...
Read moreI have the privilege of working with this facility as a vendor for providing their patients with hospice services through Heartland Hospice and I just wanna do a very quick shout out to this building. When you think about placing a loved one into a facility, questions like:
“ is MOM gonna be taken care of?”, “ Is mom gonna be showing the same type of love that I show her here at home?”, “ Is Dad really going to be watched after 24/7, And is he gonna participate in therapy and make gains?”, “ Is this place gonna have a family feel?”.
And these are all very valid questions. Something that’s very common amongst caregivers that are placing a loved one on the facility or they’re being sent to a facility for skilled rehab from the hospital. I have worked with a lot of buildings over my years, and I would venture to say that Rocky Mount health and rehab in Franklin County is one of the best facilities I’ve ever walked into. From its clean interior to it’s wonderful clinical staff, fantastic admissions, director, fantastic director of nursing, and they’re amazing Administrator; It is nothing short of spectacular. I would call this a place for MOM if you’re looking for somewhere to send your loved one and you can count on them providing excellent care to...
Read moreMy mom was transferred to this facility in early June by discharge from another facility. It was a blessing in disguise. Upon arrival, the Physical Therapist started working with her to strengthen her legs and walk more. Something the previous facility's PT was not able to accomplish. Mom is continuing to walk more. Also, the Director of Nursing, Mary Ann Smith (she is no longer there), and the nursing staff were terrific to mom. In mid-August, we decided not to return to this facility for two reasons. Due to mom's recent stage 3 colon cancer diagnosis, I need her closer than a 45-minute drive. Most importantly, I need to trust management in caring for my mom. The newly appointed Administrator, Halee, and the Director of Nursing, Jenny, are from the facility she was previously discharged from. Due to current management, I am rating this facility now 1-star. Please be highly aware of your loved one...
