Very nice staff. The home was beautiful. We stayed with our little boy and got the room with two queens. We booked the room the same day as were traveling from a long distance and needed a place to crash. I am so done with chain hotels and I wanted something different. This was perfect. The room was very nice, very comfortable. Everything appeared clean for the most part, the bathroom floor was a bit dirty, but not awful. The smell of the sheets was overpowering. It was a nice smell but not for all night long. We are sensitive to smells so it was too much for us. I know the man told us that the bathroom was not in the same room but in my travel brain fog it didn't register until we actually saw it with our eyes. We were the only people in the whole place and I wondered into one of the other rooms. It was fantastic with a huge tub and fabulous shower. I quickly begged my husband to let us move to another room. He didn't agree. AGH! The bathroom was down the hall but it was our bathroom alone; one wouldn't have to share it if there are other people staying. The entire place bubbles over with comfort and ease. I wanted to stay another day to just rest however my husband was bent to get home. As a matter of fact I think he gave a review of this place and complained of the bed making noise and blah, blah... ignore that review. He was a grump from long travel and sore body. Travel does not agree with his fibro wracked body and I give mercy for his aches and foul mood. A meer foible in an otherwise sea of tranquillity. Fear not and rest within this...
Read moreWanted to get outta town for the weekend with the girlfriend and a friend had directed me to this little bed and breakfast. So we packed our bags, brought some car games and hit the road.
Arriving we didn't see any signs to the Inn so it was a little confusing and weird driving up to the Inn. We were welcomed inside by Keri and she apologized for the confusion and said they were working on signage.
Keri was fantastic and first thing she did was show us to our room and took us on a little tour of the place. She gave us a lot of insight onto the house and its previous owners and how old it is. There is so much character and each room and the way they have each of them setup brings our the personality of each room.
We were staying in the Wanderlust room and it was a beautiful with a great view of the open grounds next to the estate. It really felt as if we were staying a close friends house for the weekend.
Keri kept us engaged, made sure we had anything we wanted, opened up the kitchen to us if we wanted any snacks. And there is nothing like waking up in the morning to have breakfast made for you when you come downstairs.
I loved our stay here, we never slept so well, and I thank the comfortable bed for that but, I also think we were made to feel at home by a very friendly innkeeper.

Read moreThe managers were very friendly and accommodating of early check-in and late check-out requests. However, unfortunately, we have to rate our stay at 2 stars. The mattress was the most uncomfortable we have ever slept on. It felt like we were sinking into a hole in the middle of the bed all night and woke up with back pain in the middle of the night. We contemplated sleeping on the floor or just leaving and going home, that's how terrible the mattress was. I've stayed in many hotels and never had this issue. I don't know how old this mattress was but if you have back problems I caution you against staying here because we are in pain. We're very disappointed as the primary function of a place like this is to provide a restful night's sleep. We did not get that and this was not a cheap room at $180 dollars...
