Now first let me say that I liked the layout of the store, and what all was in it. I loved the fact that I had finally found somewhere local to where I could go, and purchase hobby boxes that are readily available vs buying online, and having to wait indefinitely. Their slabs are reasonably priced as well which is great for collectors who are just starting. Meeting, and having dealings with the owner was not such a great experience, and the whole interaction left me speechless and slightly confused. I introduced myself as you normally would with someone you are meeting for the first time to which he just shook my hand then proceeded to tell me they only buy high value cards ( I had around 20 cards give or take to sale ). He then thumbs through my cards in a matter of roughly 30 seconds and stops at one baseball card. Ask how much I wanted, checked comps for it then, we agree on a price of 20 he then tells another employee to grab 20 dollars from register tosses it to me on the counter without a handshake, or thanks for coming in, or anything for that matter. What left me speechless and slightly confused was in those roughly 20 cards were for a fact at least 5 to 6 more high value cards with one being a NFL quarterback with an autograph numbered to 75, a rare die cut that compd for 45, a 1/1 card, and two non base Jayden Daniels Rc which both compd for more that 40 dollars each. He discarded all of those to get to the one baseball card, which compd for 34 which was also less than the other "lower valued cards" he passed up completely without blinking. So my confusion is, and was did those cards not peak his interest because that's not what he mentioned before looking at them. It was they only take high valued cards. Then passes up on 5 or so. And the whole interaction and his professionalism towards the hobby is what left me speechless as I left the store right after not knowing what to say as I walked out. I'm not saying I'm don't go to his store. I personally would probably go back to buy I just don't think I'll sale my collection or parts of it to there. Which this is all a matter of opinion. And I can only speak from my experience there. I have nothing negative to say about the shop or it's owner. Just wished I wouldn't have left there confused as to what it was that I didn't have that he seemed to be looking for in terms of "...
Read moreTried to go to this store during the weekend they were also at a card show in the area. They advertised 120 tables at their card shop but they probably had about 10 vendors and 20 tables. You just can't do that, it's unacceptable and false advertising. We drove nearly 3 hours hoping to run into a big card show. We thought that maybe we could at least check out the main store since we liked what we saw on Facebook but I guess they only have one employee and they were at the card show only selling bulk and a few graded cards. Super disappointing. But that isn't why I'm giving them a one star review. I'm giving them a one star review because of their pure unprofessionalism. We bought a couple fake Pokemon cards by accident during the card show. We didn't care, they were cheap. We just thought they were gonna be damaged or just someone unloading some old cards they found. But they were fake. It happens, we don't think the kid we bought from knew. All we wanted to do was alert them to the fact that this happened on their Facebook page. They responded by blocking me and my girlfriend from commentating. I didn't realize that letting people know they should be careful is deserving of being blocked on Facebook. We weren't going to make a big deal out of it and we weren't gonna try and get any of the money back but instead what we learned is that unless you live in the area, don't bother going to this place. There are other card shops in surrounding areas that probably deserve your attention more than this...
Read moreEdit 2: I edited this to try and be fair, while I stand by the show not being what it was advertised. Yes the shop reached out to me and from what I read misunderstood the whole point, which was letting the poor kid know someone scammed him. I do not understand why saying I wasn't going to make a drive (in which I would not get back to the event before it was over) was worth being blocked over. Genuinely confused why my care for a child was seen as hostile but here you go, I took out all of the irrelevant parts of the original post. Best of luck in the future and if you shop here know it's just my experience with the event.
EDIT: I had bought some cards from a kid and they turned out fake. I doubt the kid knew but I pointed it out on their Facebook group post for the event in Florence because the kid may have not known. I wasn't hostile or anything and they had suggested I come back and confront the kid, however I live 2 hours away and didn't care enough to get my $10 back. Not sure if they even told the kid. They deleted the comment on the Facebook post, blocked me and then blocked my boyfriend who simply liked my comment. Real professional.
The event itself was a HUGE disappointment. With their poster saying 120 tables, I assumed there would be more than 20 vendors but I'm not even sure if they had 20 vendors. We traveled from TN because we were following the shop for a while and really...
