I was very unhappy about my purchase and horrible experience trying to cancel my order before it shipped from SOUTH CAROLINA to my home in Salem, Missouri. However, you will notice I've given them FIVE stars, that is because of Harbor Freight's employees! I wish I could remember names to give the VERY knowledgeable customer service agent who took my call today. She resolved my problem and saved me waiting time of about 3 DAYS!! She saw I tried to cancel my order before it shipped but unfortunately the shipping department in South Carolina was a little too efficient and got my order shipped out right away, then they found the cancellation email. Well I got the auger in record time thanks to the speedy delivery service of FedEx! Anyway instead of shipping it back, my angel at customer service suggested I take the auger to my local Harbor Freight store in Rolla, Missouri. That way it will show returned the same as if it made it's long trek back to South Carolina, easily saving me at least 3 days, possibly up to 5 days before it could be credited to my bank. So I drove it over to the Rolla store and how friendly they are there! The supervisor even came out to greet me and assist with refunding my money, smiling and in great spirits, she and the cashier quickly went through the process. I wasn't there but maybe five VERY enjoyable minutes! It was that quick! And they took care of everything!! THAT is why Harbor Freight's rating went from a one to a FIVE!! OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I WAS done ever shopping at Harbor Freight online or in the store, but after 3 unbelievably friendly, knowledgeable and efficient employees I encountered today, I WILL be giving Harbor Freight the benefits of the doubt for the problem I had and I will be shopping there again knowing that if I encounter another problem I can rely on their employees to resolve it!! Read moreBeen waiting for a certain tool chest to go on sale and I happened to see that it was part of a 3 day sale. Took me longer to drive down to the store than to find what I was after. A group of friendly employees were on my heels soon as I hit the door taking me right to where I needed to be. Told the employee I want a certain one and color and he took off to the back and came out with the item on a cart. Paid for it and expected to be on my own to load it but was surprised to see I was following the employee who was wheeling my item to my vehicle. I am impressed with how quick and easy it was. It seems at times they're a little overwhelmed due to under staffing but that's not necessarily there fault but rather the employees that don't show up for work. Staff is decently knowledgeable about what they sell but I wouldn't expect anyone to know every detail for every single product they sell. That would be overwhelming for anyone.
