Hobby Lobby — Local services in Rolla

I usually love coming in this store. I grabbed a few different photo boxes and headed to check out. One rang a low price and after paying and checking out I thought I would grab another. I made a comment "wow, those are a good price!" The cashier and the front supervisor? replied she must of made a mistake. I now needed to return the one and repay. I assumed this may have been a last year design so it was marked down. Not that I was going to be told to re- purchase it (though their mistake), told them no thank you and proceeded to walk out, was smarted to by the front supervisor "honesty goes a long way"! I was honest!! You made a mistake, own it. Since when is it ok to smart off to customers and be rude? How about customer service? Very disappointed. And perhaps if some kindness was shown I would have been happy to return the item and pay for...

Most things are very overpriced and I was ok with it cause a lot of times I could just go next door to harbor freight and get a better deal. But when my girlfriend got back from there today and told me they they wouldn’t accept $1 coins (like the gold looking Sacagawea or presidential dollar coins) and was basically implying that they weren’t real currency, that was the last straw. I would kind of expect that from the younger generation but she said that he was most likely over 40, and the other cashier and csm didn’t think they were real either. Maybe Hobby Lobby should take one of their coin books from the shelf and leave it at the register so the people that handle money for them on a daily basis can educate themselves about our different forms of U.S. currency. So happy we have a Hobby Lobby 30 min. away now, instead of the 2 hr drive to Jeff City. Have always loved this store.Pros: Love the weekly 40% off coupon each week, good sales on their different areas of the store each week, like the metal containers and decor, lots of things to choose from. Carry a wide variety of art and craft needs. Cons: Wish theyd get more brands of colored and water color pencils, I was using Prisma color all of these years and after experimenting with different brands I found out I'm paying a premium price for a pencil that achieves the same results for a lot less. Their furniture is overpriced and always on sale and still WAY too overpriced. In the end, I love this Store and will always return to purchase...
