I've used UPS in Rolla for a lot of years and Nancy - the previous owner - has always been amazing - and now the new owner - Paras has been extremely pleasant and really cares about what the store is about and morale of the team and their customers.
I have only ever had one issue with this store and it was very recent - with one of the staff members - Jessica. I came in with an amazon return for a friend to return. It had a "customer packaged" label on it. This was a first for me - so I took the package to the counter where Jessica did NOT greet me just had her hand out for the package. She then took the package and proceeded to roughly toss the package around in front of me and stated " we are not liable if this breaks since you packed it." (as I hear the items in the package clicking and banging together) I told her I was unsure of what was in it since I was returning for someone else - she seemed disgruntled and annoyed by my response and said "go back there (she pointed behind me) and buy something else to ship it in." (We had it in a small cardboard box) - She then proceeded to shake the box again - stating again - "she isn't liable if the item breaks on the shipment." I told her that maybe it is best that I just take the package back with me and come back at a later time. She said "ok bye".
I will continue to use UPS Rolla due to the longevity of the great service to the Rolla Community - But I do hope I don't leave the store feeling that dumbfounded again. We have to remember that even on our bad days - when we are in customer service - it stays at the door when we...

I had to return a used trash can Amazon mistakenly sent me, and letās just say, I wasnāt in the best mood that Sunday morning. But when I walked into the UPS Store in Rolla, everything shifted. The gentleman who helped me (also the owner) was beyond kind, patient, and genuinely uplifting. He could tell I was a little cranky, but instead of rushing me through or having an attitude that mirrored mine, he took a moment to remind me that life is too short to carry around negativity.
That small moment of compassion meant more than he probably realized. Not only did he handle my return with care, but he also didnāt charge me for a box, just one more act of generosity that made my day a little brighter. His kindness and positive outlook stayed with me long after I left, and I truly hope I can pay it forward the way he did for me.
Thank you for being a kind human and reminding me that thereās still so much good in the world. This wasnāt just a package drop-off, it was a reminder that a little compassion goes a long way.

Went in to ship a rifle barrel, nothing special need to ship. Just a tube of metal. When asked what was in the box I told them.
"OH ups does not allow any firearm accessories to be shipped with them"
Really? I get accessories all the time through UPS, FedEx, USPS.
"It's a store policy"
Last week I wanted to ship a 10x8x8 box weighing 9 pounds. Blow dryer and some gift cards for a birthday. 100 miles away.
"I want it there by Tueaday. Ground is fine"
"Overnight is $196, two day is $112"
"Just ground."
"Ground is $96"
I left and went to USPS. $26 later that included arriving by Tuesday and including insurance for the package.
Thinking the price was crazy at UPS I looked it up directly on UPS.com. $26 for Ground and delivery by Tuesday.
This place puts the medical industry to shame with inflated pricing.
I'm done with this store.
