Itâs a good place to buy your meats at and the produce side has Half off for snap benefits (ebt) food stamps / cash benefits we where charge tax before with using snap ebt food stamps, so look out for that but he did have someone come over and reimburses us after we had looked at the receipt that it changed us tax, And yes I had said it was charging for tax even had to use a different card to pay for the taxes but when he seen the receipt he went ahead had someone come over so she could reimbursed us for the taxes that was charged
It seems that the produce section is a little bit more on the expensive side, they do stay on top of thangs to keep good quality food đ„ I n the store at price choppers They have a lot have deli items, restaurant area that you can order food from but the music they allow to play over the speakers in the story and outside of the store can be somewhat not family friendly for some people in general they have a Self check out Lottery machine but I donât think Iâve seen any alcohol in the store I wander if they will have Gamblers anonymous brochures next to the machine also since some people can be banned from gambling in some states if they have addictive behavior with gambling I donât think they sale Alcohol Iâve noticed it in the store is a nice...
Read moreI have been a great customer of the Gott family supermarkets and the Town &Country Banks for many years. During my last trip to this particular supermarket, I bought three freshly made cinnamon rolls for $4.75. I didn't have any cash on hand or my Town & Country Bank debit card, so I began to write a check for my purchase. Because of the ridiculous cashier not knowing where Davisville, Missouri is, she refused to accept my check. At her request, I had already signed my check, and she wrote my Missouri State driver's license information on this check. She then called the two men at the customer service desk to inspect my valid check, and they also declined to accept it. As previously stated, I have been a valued customer with the Gott family supermarkets for many years. However, I will never revisit any of these supermarkets, and I highly recommend everyone shop for groceries at any Walmart Supercenter. I also recommend shopping at Mace's Supermarket, Aldi, or any other supermarket that will treat you with respect and courtesy, as all customers should be. The cashier I used and both of the customer service representatives should be cleaning toilets and mopping the restroom floors, because it is apparent they do not have the personality to work with customers. They need...
Read moreThe products are good. In some cases they have great variety such as international foods, produce, and grains. They have a nice fresh meat case. In other things, they have very limited options and often not what I want. No boneless chicken thighs, large packages of chicken, or some of the yogurt I like.
The reason for the low rating however is for three reasons. The prices are way too high. The price for eggs is 2x or sometimes even 4x higher than other places in town. Dairy and produce are usually the worst culprits.
The hot food area is horrible. Some of the food is OK such as the burgers. But the wings sit out too long, get dry, and taste like you're biting into salt bricks. Most of the hot food tastes old, overdone, and too salty. Salad bar is nice though.
They sell shark meat. They sell vulnerable species that are in serious decline in population as meat. Some of the sea food is from sustainable sources but a lot of it comes from countries known to overfish and to destroy habitats. As long as they sell shark meat I...
