My family and I were excited to eat at this burger truck because they have handcut french fries. We had to wait a few weeks for them to open due to the heat, which is understandable. When we approached the truck, we waited to be assisted by the 2 servers that were cooking. It should be noted that we were the only customers during our whole visit. We waited a few minutes and finally figured out there is a kiosk next to the front opening. I would expect the servers to, at least, turn around and let us know we could use the kiosk or they would be with us shortly. Nope. Finally, we got our order placed on the kiosk. Still no acknowledgement from the servers. Okay. We decided to wait in our vehicle that was parked next to the truck. After about 10 minutes they called our name and we picked up our order. They were friendly when we picked up the order. We took our food home. Fries were excellent, but we were hoping they would be a little thicker. No big deal. Then, we looked at the 3 burgers we received and one had the wrong toppings. These double cheeseburgers are almost $10 each so it was annoying that one was wrong. We even checked our receipt. The burgers were too salty and just had a weird taste. Almost like they added steak sauce but way too much. Also, I got mustard and ketchup on mine and there was so much mustard it was leaking in the box. I couldn't eat my burger due to the saltiness. We also got chicken strips which were good. I will not go back to this...
Read moreSo this is STRICTLY for the food truck NOT the restaurant that is being put up. Hard to grade the Service and Atmosphere on a food truck so I'm just going to give them a 5 for now.
The food is average. The burger is the real star here. Very good quality meat and toppings BUT they use far too much grease. Yes I know burgers are greasy, but these are SO greasy they go through the paper, through the cardboard box, and through the bag enough to where the outside bag is glistening from all the grease. Despite the grease the burgers do taste good but the texture is thrown off a bit by the grease.
The fries are absolutely HORRIBLE. Greasy, overcooked, and entirely too salty. McDonald's Fries are far superior. Heck I feel like you could get frozen fries at Price chopper down the road and be in a better position. The bad thing is the customers know it. When my wife and my first went we were ordering off the screen a older guy told us to make sure we went light on the salt...and my god I am glad he did because it was still too salty.
As soon as the restaurant opens up I will try that and amend this review if...
