The best crepes, croissants and tarts I’ve ever had 😍😍😍😍😍 10/10 would recommend #hiddengems #rollamissouri #rolla #missouri

Rolla is in great need of a restaurant of this quality. Before moving back to Rolla, I was spoiled with amazing food. I've had my fill from wonderful bakeries and patisseries. This place could stand tall next to them. In fact, this business would thrive next to any of them I'm sure of it. This is, hands down, the best bakery (and restaurant) in Rolla. The almond croissant is exactly what you expect. Tons of layers, delicious almond filling, buttery, light and crispy in all the right ways! My crepe was cooked to perfection, and served like street food which I loved. The owner is a skilled professional and clearly a master of his trade. He's always so kind and appreciative of your bisiness. I would highly recommend this place for a breakfast croissant or afternoon treat.

Oh....MY...God. I have eaten in cafés and bakeries in Germany, France, Switzerland and a few others. This place is amazing. Surpasses anything I've ever had in the U.S.....and I travel a lot. But the freshness and flavor in the food here is OUTSTANDING! The service was inviting and very kind. The raspberry tart was so light and delicious. Every berry tasted like it was the most ripe one and picked at the it's peak. I can not say enough wonderful words to describe how good and authentic the food is here. It is an absolute must have. Thank you so much for opening in Rolla. I will be back.....often.

While the sweet deserts are amazing, the person making the crepes had touched salmon, then proceeded to not change her gloves and used the same gloves to grab cheese, fruit, wipes her hands on her apron and that made me very uncomfortable. This person is NOT educated in food safety and should not be handling food. This also poses a serious anllergen risk. After talking with the owner, he confirmed that the girl should have changed her gloves. I did tell him I don’t feel comfortable eating the crepe I had ordered and was still waiting for and no refund was offered as I forgot to ask for one. I took my loss and just left. I spent almost $50 between deserts and crepes. As someone who use to work in the food industry, that is extremely unsanitary. It sucks because I had been waiting SO long to try this place. I understand if you’re busy, but cross contamination can make someone VERY sick. I literally never leave reviews like this, but this is important for people to know.

Editing because the owner decided to reply. Like I said above, I made it perfectly clear to the owner that I was waiting for my crepes when I saw this happen and did not feel comfortable eating it when it was ready. She had not even gotten to my order when this happened. For the owner to try to say “it was unclear” that I was concerned about my crepe is a straight up lie. I told him SEVERAL times I would be very uncomfortable eating my crepes. I also told him that if the order comes up while I’m talking to him, I am going to throw it away. Unless he didn’t understand me clear, which I don’t know how, I don’t appreciate the response. I will never be returning here again and it’s truly sad because like I said, I was SO excited to try this place. I am a crepe person and to have such a terrible experience my first time sucks. But I’m glad I saw that instead of it keep happening and me get sick. If that’s what happened in front of people, I would hate to know what happens during prep or behind...

My experience here wasn't quite as "charmant" as everyone else's who has given it glowing reviews. Based on those reviews, I had high expectations and was excited to try the place. Unfortunately it did not meet those expectations. When we walked in the two young ladies behind the counter rolled their eyes, and snickered to each other. Why? Who knows. The one girl, who took our order seemed inconvenienced by the whole process. We were also immediately informed that there were only a few pastries left, when quite frankly, we hadn't even gotten to that point yet. Expecting traditional French crepes, we were disappointed by their extremely brown appearance. One suggestion, if you are going to serve a crepe with a tough, crusty nature, provide utensils that do not bend and are impossible to cut with. Most at the cafe were eating their crepes like burritos because the utensils were useless. We did order the only pastries left and to be quite honest, the cream tasted a bit ice boxy. While the pastry looked quite pretty, the taste was underwhelming. The interior of the business could use a refresh, as part of the wall is buckling where the kitchen area is. I appreciate something different in an area where dining is difficult at best because of the lack of choice and had the staff not been so hideously rude, I may have gone back, believing I had hit it on a bad day. Between the overhyped, C- fare and the staff, it's a one time stop. Again, maybe it was an off day for CrepEscape. I was certainly...

A place in Rolla that REQUIRES a visit. Everytime I come here at least one thing blows me away. The Lemon and Blueberry crepe is my absolute favorite. It's the perfect tartness and still has a bit of sweetness. The blueberries are such a nice addition texture wise. The Apple, Brie, Fig Jam Crepe is also exceptional IF you like Brie. Brie can be considered bitter and adds such a unique edge to the faint tartness of green apple slices and the mellow sweetness of the Fig Jam. Tikka Masala Crepe is also phenomenal especially since there's basically nothing comparable in the Rolla to Salem area and we love Indian food. They always have a lovely assortment of pastries if you don't arrive 20 minutes till close. Any of their deserts that feature a raspberry base is a must try if you love the subtle softness of the cream base they use on many of their pastries, along with a nice Crunchy base, and that splash of tartness. We tasted a bit of nuttiness not sure if actual nuts were used at all or if it was just the divine blend of subtle softness of the main layer, followed by the bright raspberry compote, with the crumbly base that gave the illusion. Pictures to...
