Very disappointed in this location but more so the company as a whole. Purchased a very expensive pair of horse clippers with my farm and fleet card online to pick up at Montgomery. There was supposed to be 3 in stock. Got a call from the store that they actually didn't have them in stock. I asked her to see if one of the other locations did. She said Romeoville had one and offered to call them to find out if they actually had it. She called me back and said Romeoville had one in stock and that it was saved at the front desk with my name. She said she would cancel my online order for Montgomery and that I would just purchase it at Romeoville. Drive 45 min to Romeoville, get there 30 minutes before they closed. Went to the service counter and they said they had nothing on hold and that I needed to go through their drive thru to pick up online orders. I tried to explain again that it wasn't an online order and that it was saved at the front per the Montgomery store. I'm told that they have no knowledge of that and I have to go to the back. So I go back to my car and go around the back to the online pickup area. Young kid comes out and I try to explain the situation. He said without an online order he wouldn't have anything. I told him that I was told to come around back and asked if he could at least try to find some information for me. He tries to write my info down but his pen wasn't working so he went back inside. The front end manager comes out and says that no one currently in the store has any information regarding the clippers or that they were on hold. She said I had to go back around front and come in while they were trying to find the 1 set of clippers that were supposed to be in stock. Go back around, park, go in. They can't find the clippers. Another employee sees their co-worker looking for something and asks if she needs help. She tells him what she's looking for and he turns around and hands them right to her, they were at the front the whole time. I go to use my farm and fleet card to buy the clippers and it gets declined. Looks like the original charge is still on there and the second charge is putting it over the limit. Now it's 10 min til close. I call customer service for the card to find out what the deal is. She puts me on hold for 10 min. Now the store is closing. I need the clippers for tomorrow so I use my debit card since I won't be able to drive all the way out to Romeoville again tomorrow. Still on hold with customer service. I was on hold for over 30 min and the phone just hangs up. I try to call back and it says "we are unable to take your call, please try again later." I have never seen such incompetence by so many people on so many levels. No one wanted to help and just kept trying to pass the buck. There was no communication between anyone. I love coming to this location to get work done on my car, the staff and mechanics here are so knowledgeable and hard working. They will get the work done to your car in such of an efficient and timely manner. It’s a shame how underrated this establishment is for their car repair/maintenance work as the mechanics here are so experienced and savvy they not only work on all common car makes but even do a fine job on foreign/luxury vehicles too at price our car dealerships could never 👎 compete with. I do all of my oil changes , brakes, air filters, car lights etc etc. anything my vehicles need they have been able to handle it with such tact and ease it feels like a weight being lifted from my shoulders every single time I leave from here.
I highly highly highly recommend bringing your vehicles here, they are so advanced and experienced they can even do mechanical work all the way up to a small/fair sized semi-truck (engine) which is honestly very impressive when you think about it not many other auto places or chain stores can say that for themselves. Walmart auto services dept as large as they are couldn’t do the type of oil change and break work my foreign car needed and they actually are the ones who referred me to blain’s farm and fleet.
Since the day I went for my very first car service, I can happily say you’ll never see me anywhere else again. I am a happy, proud and overly satisfied customer of them and have told several family members and friends about them and they’ve all loved going here too and were all shocked at how reasonable the prices were for everything that they saved so much more coming here than any of the other places...
Read moreI like this store for it's verity. you can find just about anything here for just about everybody in your family. I love the pet and animal Department and the prices are as reasonable as any nearby local pet store, but a few different selections and less variety but that's not necessarily A Bad Thing in this case. if you're looking to do everyday grocery shopping this is not the place however picking up a few standbys this is the place to do it. This store is not extremely close by my home however I make the trip for certain items and my favorite is some of the nuts for baking and cooking. They're fresh and reasonably priced. But I know I can grab mason jars and a case of water and some spray paint if all that is needed as well. The downside, there are very few sales people on the floor and those that are are not extremely trained in their area or knowledgeable. Well they will ask you if you ask them but they still don't know what you're talking about... So it's a bit of a waste of time. But let's not misinterpret what I'm saying...the employees are friendly but every time I've had any kind of question in any of the Departments outside of soft lines I've had to call for manager.... I was in automotive and had questions in regards to batteries and the female who was there couldn't even answer the most basic question so the gentleman came out and tried to assist me and he didn't know and finally again had to call the manager who actually knew exactly what my query was and was more than willing to help.
