Escape Junk and Moving — Local services in Roseland

People: THESE ARE THE GUYS YOU SHOULD HIRE!! To begin with, I called three or four different junk removal businesses for estimates. The person I spoke with at Escape Junk was very clear and professional; there were no hidden fees and their trucks are bigger than most so you get extra cubic feet for the same price as other firms (very important when you have a garage filled with 25 years of accumulated stuff, like we did).

The two fellows who arrived on the appointed day, Akiel and Nicholas, couldn't have been nicer, more knowledgeable, or hard-working. They patiently spent OVER THREE HOURS with me, helping me go through every carton and box, often pointing out mold or other damage that rendered many items unsafe to keep. When I expressed concern that my husband (who could not be there that day) might be upset at some of the things we had to discard, they said, "If he has any questions, tell him to call us. We'll explain why it had to go."

By the way, that phone call never happened because my husband was thrilled with what they did and our garage--plus another, small storage room on the basement level of our home which they also helped me with--are now clean and clear.

You won’t be disappointed to call Escape Junk! My mother and I had to clean out my late grandmother’s apartment fast, and Escape Junk delivered! We booked online on Monday night, met Nicholas on Tuesday afternoon for an estimate, and on Thursday a team of four nice, strong guys came to clear out everything. EVERYTHING, big shelves and beds and other furniture and assorted junk. We didn’t think they could do it in two hours as promised but they did!! For ten years I’ve hoarded old furniture. We called these guys, and they showed up as agreed for a quote to take the old junk out of my garage and offered a discount if I did it NOW. I had planned to umm and ahhh for a few more days about what to keep and what to ditch when I saw their truck drive by and I made a decision to just do it.
