Come here for a true Roswell experience! You've all heard the stories about Roswell, so I know I'm not knocking anyone's socks off by sharing this one more:
We stopped in here to pick up some snacks for the road and to use the facilities at the start of a 10 hour drive into Texas. The parking lot was nearly full, but the whole store was empty with the exception of the florist, a cashier, and a stocker. Before shopping, we made our way to the restrooms which are located in the back storeroom, and I think they put them there to prevent the abductions, as there are cameras and workers present more frequently in that part of the store. Let me tell you friends, it doesn't appear to be working. Only four of us went back, we knocked on the locked doors, but there were no answers on either male or female restrooms. We waited anyway. After another minute or two, we knocked again. No answers still, but now, there was a line of about 5 people behind us. After knocking a 3rd time on each door, we heard a voice in the men's room. So we waited some more. The men's room door opened after a moment and a woman walked out. Confused, we knocked on the women's room door one more time. This time, there was a response (thank goodness, too, cause 6 more people showed up in line). After a bit, a man walked out of the women's restroom. No one said anything. When the four of use were done, we shopped for our snacks, paid, and left without ever seeing another patron in the store. Call it what you want. I was a skeptic at first, but after this experience, I'm a...
Read moreI absolutely love this store!!!!! The people here are super friendly and helpful. No one is cranky or stuffy. This is one of the many good things about Roswell! I love going to Albertsons for fresh vegetables and meats, especially: their fruit and vegetables section looks like a photographic model because everything is so beautiful and perfect! They have a nice selection of ice cream, too. This is a very nice store!
UPDATE: After living here for more than 6 months now, my opinion of this store is the very same! We love Albertsons! I go there all the time for both major and quick shopping needs.
ANOTHER UPDATE! Albertsons on west 2nd street is awesome. The staff here are "real people" with friendly and helpful personalities, and they will help you in every way possible. The atmosphere of the store is so comfortable and I love shopping here, even walking down every aisle if I don't need much lol. AFTER LIVING HERE for over 2 years now, my opinion of Albertsons has not changed: it is still the perfect place.to shop!
OCTOBER 2025: 4 years here, and still loving Albertsons! The only thing that is less than 5 stars is the parking lot during rush hours, but that is to be expected. For the easiest parking, look for a place beside the pharmacy...
Read moreThis location was a great idea as Albertsons carries a greater selection than the former IGA that used to be here. On top of greater selection, I feel the quality is better than that of the former also. I am especially pleased with their bakery as all the good sweets to come from it. Prices aren't too bad as with other stores. People are helpful and friendly, and checkout is always a breeze as one of the few places in this city to run so smooth, efficient, swiftly as wait time is NEVER an issue. Like I stated: one of a few. Checkout 👑 Crown easily goes out as well as a big congrats and commendation to this business. Of course liquor, lotto and cigarettes/cigars/papers are also available here at this location a long with other items like beauty products, hygeine cutlery, cups, plates, toiletries and of course the typical b list movie DVD bin. Cliché I know but what does that help give off but that perfect small town grocery store atmosphere reminiscent of Furr's before we had a Hastings and that was the spot to rent/buy cheap movies. Of course there was blockbuster but this was so much easier for our parents than making two trips. This location may be a "the little brother" but it certainly holds a candle...
