My wife went to return some boots we bought for our daughter that were too big. She found the same pair of boots that appeared to be used, leather on the tube was cracked and the heel worn down. They were definitely worn. When she brought the boots to the counter and informed the young lady working the counter she gave the deer in the headlights look. There were two other sales personnel at the counter and neither one could offer any insight. We are a family who wears boots daily for everyday wear including on the ranch with the horses. We’ve bought several boots over the years and never have we’ve seen anything like this. The manager came to the counter for the exchange and tried to dismiss the whole situation pushing the boots aside. I wonder if they will be put back on the shelf. This is par for the course at this Cavanders, we’ve in before and customer service is nonexistent. Usually staff is congregated in conversation with each other, but it isn’t until you make eye contact is when they will ask if you need help. Now if we go in we just go and get what we came for and if we’ve been in the store for a few minutes it isn’t until we have some items in our hands is when they ask if we need help, I just reply “no” and continue shopping. When asked at the counter, if anyone helped us, I’m honest and tell them no. Things like this is why we avoid the Round Rock store and we choose to go to Cedar Park or drive the hour and a half to another western store (not a chain store). Customer service and honesty is a big thing for us and it should be the staff’s priority as...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I went into this store August 17th, and we were looking for boots for a concert we are attending at the end of August. We are super new to the whole experience and are not quite sure how boots and hats are suppose to look. We walked around the store for about 20 minutes and not a single employee asked if we needed help. Mind you, there was at least 10 workers throughout the store and they even looked at us but did not stop and ask. When we eventually found some boots we want, there was a Hispanic man who offered to help right away. When we went to go buy the boots, the cashier seemed to have an attitude the whole time. We were asking questions about shaping the hat and her answers were very sharp and cold. She kept looking at us as if we were dumb, which was harsh to experience because we are very new to the boot and hat scene. When we went to go and get our hat shaped. We waited about 10 minutes until we were even acknowledged. There was 4 workers working by us and looking at us by not one asked what we needed. My boyfriend had to wave one down on the other side of the store to help us. Even when they helped us, they kept looking at us as if we were children. My boyfriend and I felt that we were not helped because of the color of our skin. We were super politely and were just asking questions because we wanted to me an informed purchase. The level of uncomfortably we felt has made us decided to never go back...
Read moreI stopped by Cavender’s Western Outfitter recently to grab a new pair of work boots, and I had a really smooth shopping experience. The store was well-organized, so it was easy to find exactly what I was looking for without wasting any time.
They had a solid variety of work boots to choose from, with all the major brands and styles. Whether you’re looking for durability, comfort, or style, they’ve got something that fits the bill. I found my boots quickly—no hassle, no wandering around.
The sales associate was super helpful. He didn’t push me into anything, but made sure I knew where the best options were. He helped me find my size and even suggested a few brands that had great reviews for comfort. It was nice to not feel rushed, and I appreciated the personal touch.
I was in and out in no time! I didn’t have to spend a long time browsing, which was exactly what I needed. The store was not overly crowded, and I got in and out with my boots in hand without any trouble.
If you need work boots, Cavender’s is a great place to stop by. The selection is easy to navigate, the staff is helpful without being pushy, and I left with exactly what I needed. I’ll definitely be returning next time I need to...
