Great Store and Staff. Jennifer, who I believe is either the GM or ASM was very helpful after some miscommunication over a hold I submitted. My original item was released from it's hold and sold to another customer after I had called in to verify an extension I had submitted for on the app. To clarify, this was not an error on the store or staff but an issue with the app and how holds process. Even so, they immediately got to work to find me a replacement item (which given the deal should have been impossible) and had it shipped in from another store up in Killeen. I really can't say enough good things about this kind of customer support and service, it's what sets this store, and a few other's I frequent, apart from the rest and other gaming retailers. Read moreWhat happened to GameStop? There aren't any games now. It's a bunch of funk pop stuff and weird toys no one wants. There are 2 tiny sections for ps5/Xbox... Whatever generation we're on now and a sea of knick knacks no one wants. Used games are somehow more expensive than new games at other places.
The staff were nice and were trying to walk a loud angry lady through the process of... Her GS account points system or something. The customer was a pain but they were patient with her. And they didn't try to upsell me on accounts or plans or other money sinks when I scooped up a game. Good on you guys, made me happy.
That said, there is no point to this place. Grocery stores have better videogame sections at better prices. As does the entire Internet. It's a relic and there's no point to it, and this is the dinkiest GameStop...
Read moreTrade in experience was pretty miserable. I wanted to get things in store and order items that were unavailable using my trade in credit to get the pro discount but they couldn't place the order that way. Missed out on several discounts
My ordered items still have not arrived 2 weeks later.
The staff were nice, but very restricted from making judgment calls and extremely "this is the policy" on things that one would think have some wiggle room.
One trade in was almost denied because a dirty screen was mistaken for scratches. Another trade was denied because of a single missing accessory (joycon straps on a switch).
Again, the staff were nice and did their best. But after I finally get my ordered items and preordered games I think I'll be skipping GameStop...
