Location: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Easy to locate. Although it’s not exactly on Louis Henna Blvd - it’s right behind Austin E autos and next to 7-eleven on Green Lawn Blvd. It’s in one of the prominent locations and has easy access.
Parking:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ There is plenty of parking space available in this strip mall with a spa and an eatery next to it. Although it has common parking space there is plenty to find empty spots even on a busy weekend.
Ambience: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I felt the ambience lacked a little bit of oomph to give it that upscale look. The restaurant was decently appointed and clean with the staff ensuring the tables were cleaned and ready for the next group of guests. It’s still a fairly new restaurant and I guess over a period of time it can be little well designed to give it a more warm and welcoming feeling for an excellent dine-in experience
Portions: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I am usually fussy about food and serving size and prefer bigger portions. I don’t mind getting a box at the end of my lunch or dinner to do some takeaway rather than having to order more food to feel that you have had a heart meal. I would say the portion sizes are good for a family of two or three but if you are planning to go in a big group and people with a hearty appetite be ready to order more.
Taste and Food selection:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The garlic nan we had was one of the best I have eaten anywhere. Excellent taste in the Navratan korma and Paneer peshawari too. Although I would have wished to try some spicy veggie appetizers - perhaps my next visit. The choice of food for vegetarians, vegans, and meat eaters is excellent. Very well thought out to cater to all tastes alike!
Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The host was very welcoming and checked on us regularly and the owner was kind and gracious enough while taking our orders and seeing us out. Although it was busy night we felt like we were welcomed and taken good care. Great job!
Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This place is a must visit. It checks all the boxes and has a great selection of Indian food that you will enjoy and relish and will look forward to and come back for more. Kudos to the team for all...
Read moreUpdate: Unfortunately, I had to edit & update this review in order to share our subsequent experiences. 1) Quality of Food diminished after several visits; became watered down & portions significantly decreased. 2) We frequented the restaurant & engaged with the owner/operator the same, but on a couple of occasions, we were “broomed” out, because they wanted to turnover the table—that’s fine, if the customer is simply chatting, no longer eating, etc, but we were still working on our offerings. That’s unacceptable, especially for paying, repeat patrons.
Wow, wow, wow! Finally, a Truly Authentic North Indian Restaurant that also includes Pakistani dishes & flavors! Now, Round Rock and Central Texas is blessed to host the Flavors of Punjab, Lucknow, Delhi and even Pakistan. The Grand Opening was chaotic, so I was compelled to turn away, but I returned a few days ago and my goodness - I was put in my place!
We ordered the Aloo Tikki Chaat (beautiful, multi-flavor profile) & Masala Wings (delicious, but spicy) for starters and were highly impressed. Main courses: Non-Veg Dinner for Two, Paneer Coconut Curry, Mango Lassi and Aloo Naan. Everything was out-of-this-world delicious, I’m not exaggerating. The Dinner for Two [Dine-In Only] is a Giveaway: Two Tandoori Items; Choice of Daal Makhni (Amazing!!!), Two Curries of Your choice (we chose Peshawari Chicken & Mughlai Chicken - spectacular!), Naan, Masala Chai and Gulab Jamun. Chutneys - I drank them like shots lol. Crazy, crazy flavors.
What to expect: Humble and Wonderful Family-Run Restauranteurs. Most, if not all dishes are made-to-order. For me, that means that the food is fresh and edible, and it is/was. So, don’t expect sloppy, microwaved dishes like these other bootleg “desi” restaurants in the area. Staff, family is incredibly courteous and attentive. Clean with a visible kitchen! This is a great feature to display how great or terrible a restaurant is - they’re transparent. Wonderful prices for High, high quality. I’m on my way here as I conclude my review! Don’t cheat your tastebuds and head over to...
Read moreWe have visited this place yesterday for the first time as we wanted to try this new place and the experience is bad and I don’t recommend this place at all. I’ll try to rate different aspects of this restaurant. Food: First thing first. Food is not so great. All most all items have excessive salt and tasted very bad. Our kid hardly liked anything. Ambiance: Nothing spectacular. Just a usual Indian restaurant. Service: Horrible. This is where I wish there is a Zero star or negative stars in Google ratings. We went there at 7PM where hardly couple other tables are occupied and it took the person 30 mins to just take the order upon walking to him and asked. Nothing is served for next 30 mins which kept us starving along with a toddler. Starter is served almost at the end of the meal. Only one person is doing service with not so welcoming attitude. Had to wait for an hour to get the items served, he gives the food to our hands rather keeping them on table ( wondering if he knows abc of service). We sat next to kitchen and keep hearing the items are ready but this person had zero urgency to bring them to the table. Wished we could walk into kitchen and bring our food.
Bill payment is another fiasco. Had to wait and wait and wait for him to get the bill which never happened. Had to walk to the counter and pay the bill after waiting for long time. . Saw him saying to a customer that it would take an hour with a rude tone. He didn’t bother asking me how’s the experience since he knew that they screwed up big time. Finally came out around 9PM. One of the if not the worst experiences I’ve ever had.
Lastly, to pack the leftover curry, he gave a styrofoam box which is bound to leak and got leak by the time we reached home. No point of taking the leftover food home if they don’t give right containers… 🤷🏻♂️
Not visiting and wasting...
